Binggeli rode to his second victory of the year in the Pro GRT series, taking the California Golden State victory over Michael Sylvestri (Truckee, Calif./ARMA Energy - Evil Bikes) at the China Peak Ski Resort. With his silver-medal performance, Sylvestri moves up one spot in the Pro GRT men's standings to second place with 148 points. Binggeli leads with 204 points. Aaron Gwin (Wildomar, Calif./Specialized Racing) drops one spot to third place in the standings with 140 points, while Brook MacDonald (NZL) and Kevin Aiello (Rancho Santa Margarita, Calif./KHS Bicycles), who was ninth at the California Golden State, are locked in a fourth-place tie with 100 points apiece.

Galyean maintains a 35-point advantage from her perch atop the Pro GRT women's standings with a total of 120 points, but behind her is a battle brewing with four riders separated by only five points. Jackie Swider (San Luis Obispo, Calif./Arts Cyclery-Shredly) entered the top five with a fourth-place showing at the California Golden State and now sits in second place in the series standings with 85 points. Amber Price (Westminster, Colo./BikeSource Gravity Racing) follows closely behind in third place with 82 points, with California Golden State winner Adrienne Schneider (Incline Village, Nev./One Industries) and Robyn Embrey (Incline Village, Nev./Shine Riders Co) tied for fourth place with 80 points each.
