Mark Abramson - President, NCCA

Elected in March of 2008 as President of USA Cycling's Board of Directors, Mark Abramson is a 1997 graduate of Tufts University in Boston where he began the school’s collegiate cycling program. Throughout the last decade, Mark has been an integral advisor to collegiate cycling’s significant contributions to the overall growth of USA Cycling’s membership and athlete talent identification programs. He also served as the volunteer director of the Eastern Collegiate Cycling Conference and organized various events in New England. Professionally, Mark is the president of Forward Thought, a software and strategic I.T. consulting firm which services clients in government, outdoor, and high-tech industries throughout the United States and Europe. Previously the Vice President of the USA Cycling Board of Directors, Mark is also a Trustee on the National Collegiate Cycling Association’s Board of Trustees. Mark’s term as president runs through the spring of 2010. He recently relocated to the Bay area with his wife, Anna.

Wayne Stetina - Vice President, USCF

A three-time Olympian, Wayne Stetina has served 24 years with the Shimano American Corporation, currently serving as Vice President/Road Product Specialist. A Pan American Games gold medalist and 12-time U.S. National Champion, Stetina rode for the Subaru-Montgomery/Postal/AMD-Discovery Masters’ teams after retiring from full-time competition in 1984.

Jim Patton - Secretary, USCF

Jim Patton has been actively involved in cycling for more than 30 years. After beginning as a racer, Patton has served as a race promoter, team organizer and coach of the United States Naval Academy Cycling Team. When work no longer accommodated the competitive training and travel associated with bike racing, he became an official. With 25 years of officiating experience, Patton, a UCI National Commissaire, helped pioneer the training of motor referees in the United States. First elected to the USCF Board of Trustees in 2003, Patton became a director in 2004 and currently serves as secretary for the USA Cycling Board of Directors.

John Bucksbaum is Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of General Growth Properties, Inc. (GGP) and also serves on its Board of Directors. GGP is a U.S.-based publicly traded real estate investment trust (REIT) with ownership or management of more than 200 shopping malls in 44 states, Turkey and Brazil, and is a leading developer of master-planned communities and mixed-use properties. General Growth Properties, Inc. is listed on the New York Stock Exchange under the symbol GGP. Bucksbaum received his bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Denver in 1978. His professional affiliations include the following: past Chairman and member of the Executive Committee of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC); past Chairman of the Zell/Lurie Real Estate Center at The Wharton School; Trustee of the Urban Land Institute (ULI); Trustee of the National Association of Real Estate Investment Trusts (NAREIT); member of the National Realty Roundtable and the University of California Berkeley’s Fisher Center for Real Estate and Urban Economics Policy Advisory Board. In addition Bucksbaum serves on the boards of the University of Chicago Hospitals, The Field Museum, U.S. Ski & Snowboard Team, World T.E.A.M. Sports and is a member of the Young Presidents Organization and the Advisory Board of the Chicago Chapter of the American Jewish Committee. John and his wife, Jackie, are the parents of Max and Eli Bucksbaum. He and his family enjoy cycling, skiing, traveling and other family activities.

Don Edberg - NORBA

A second term member of the NORBA Board of Trustees, Don was recently elected to the USAC Board of Directors. Don began riding mountain bikes competitively in 1981 and began promoting mountain bike races the following year. He returned to school in the early 1990's and graduated from the University of Wisconsin- Madison's Physical Therapy program in 1996. After six years of clinical physical therapy practice, he was presented with the opportunity to pursue his passion of race promotion full time. Don is the owner and managing director of WORS (the Wisconsin Off Road Series) which he helped to found in 1992. Don has a twenty-five year old daughter and resides on a parcel of land containing three miles of singletrack in Custer, Wisconsin with his girlfriend, Karen and their six dogs. Don's other interests include Alpine and Nordic skiing, trail building, graphic design and carpentry.

Jeff Garvey - USACDF

Jeff Garvey is the retired co-founder of Austin Ventures. Headquartered in Austin, Texas, Austin Ventures is one of the largest and most established venture capital firms in the United States. Garvey is also the Founding Chairman of the Lance Armstrong Foundation, one of the fastest growing non-profit organizations in the country. Founded in 1997, the Lance Armstrong Foundation is focused on inspiring and empowering people affected by cancer. Garvey is currently Vice Chairman and a member of the Executive Committee of USA Cycling’s Board of Directors. Additionally, he currently serves on the boards of the USA Cycling Development Foundation and Noteworthy Medical Systems of Cleveland, Ohio. Jeff has been married to his wife, Bonita, for nearly 40 years and together they have two children ages 24 and 21.

Jeremy Horgan-Kobelski - Athlete Director, NORBA

Known simply as JHK on the mountain bike racing circuit, Jeremy Horgan-Kobelski is arguably the most accomplished U.S. men’s mountain biker over the course of the last decade. The 2004 OIympian was introduced to the bike in high school and he eventually joined the collegiate ranks at the University of Colorado where he became a four-time collegiate national champion and was twice named Collegiate Cyclist of the Year. Jeremy and his wife Heather, a fellow professional mountain biker, reside in Boulder, Colo. with their two dogs – a Border Collie and an Australian Shepherd. During the off-season, JHK often finds himself working on the couple’s home. He and Heather also enjoy skiing, cooking, and hiking.

Clayton John is the current President of the American Bicycle Association (ABA), a position he has held since 1985 when USBHOF member and owner of the ABA Bernie Anderson promoted him to this position. John previously served as ABA Marketing Director from 1981 to 1985. His journey into BMX racing began in 1975 as a Bike Shop owner and coach of the Penn State University Cycling Team. John then started his own BMX Track in State College, PA in 1977 - the same year the ABA was founded by Merl Mennenga. John was also the hockey coach at Penn State where he led the team to four MACHC National Championships (1977, 1978, 1979, 1980). John was inducted into the Penn State University Hockey Hall of Fame in 1992.Clayton John has been involved in the management of the sport of BMX racing now for almost 30 years, witnessing its growth from a fledgling niche competition to an internationally recognized sport making its Olympic debut in August of 2008.

Lisa Nye-Salladin has helped foster the sport of cycling in America for over a decade. The co-owner of Hill Country Bicycle Works in Kerrville and Fredericksburg, Texas she has served on the NORBA Board of Directors since 2001 and the USA Cycling Board of Directors since 2002. The multiple-time Texas State Mountain Bike champion in the expert category has devoted her time as a race promoter/director, as a USA Cycling Regional Development Mountain Bike Camp Director, as a sponsor to one of the largest junior mountain bike teams in Texas, as treasurer and board member of the Texas Mountain Bike Racing Association, on the Kerrville Parks and Recreation Board of Directors and Kerrville Comprehensive Plan Advisory Committee. Born and raised in Massachusetts, Nye-Salladin graduated from Hamilton College in New York with a B.A. in Mathematics. Riding her bike around the world from February 1992 to March 1995, she travelled 30,000 miles through 17 countries and four continents. Employed in the Marin Bikes retail store, as Tour Director for Tauck World Discoveries and now as a shop owner, she has lived in Colorado, California and now Texas with her husband Adam.

Michael E. Patterson - USACDF

Michael E. Patterson worked for JPMorgan from 1987-2009, serving as general counsel, chief administrative officer, a member of the board and vice chairman. Prior to his employment with JPMorgan, Michael practiced law in New York and Paris as a partner of Debevoise & Plimpton. He is a member of the board of The Trust for Public Land, The Hastings Center, USA Cycling and the USA Cycling Development Foundation. He also serves as Chairman of the Board of Directors of The Child School and the French-American Foundation. A native of New York State, Michael completed his undergraduate work at Harvard and earned his Juris Doctor degree from Columbia Law School. He lives with his wife Elena in New York City and Connecticut and is bicycle racer.

Currently Executive Vice President of Centerplate, Bill Peterson also worked with the National Football League’s European operation for almost ten years, the last two as Managing Director and then President. In these positions Peterson has developed a deep understanding of complex projects, strategic plans and goal achievement. Also a former vice president with Anschutz Entertainment Group in Los Angeles, Peterson drove its Sports Division, which manages everything from the David Beckham Academy to corporate-sponsored cycling, track and field, and tennis events. His career highlights also include his position as Managing Director of the Home Depot Center, a 125-acre sports and entertainment complex with four stadiums hosting up to 150 ticketed events each year and generating annual revenue of more than $20 million. Peterson earned his Bachelor’s of Science in Health, Physical Education and Recreation from Lock Haven University in Pennsylvania.

Anton Quist – Athlete Director, USCF

Anton Quist is a former member of the U.S. National Cycling Team, competing in the 2003 UCI Track World Championships. Serving as an athlete representative to the USCF Board of Trustees since 2004, Quist currently serves in the position of secretary. He continues to race at the masters level on his home track at the Valley Preferred Cycling Center in Trexlertown, Pennsylvania. A software development manager for a consulting firm in Mclean, Virginia, Quist is also currently a pre-med student at George Mason University.

Nick Reistad - Athlete Director, USPRO

A graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison Business School, Nick Reistad has been racing professionally since 2005. Starting with the Advantage Benefits/Endeavour program, Reistad has now been with the Jelly Belly Cycling team for three years. Reistad also raced with the USA Cycling U23 National Team program in Europe for various stints over two seasons. While attending UW-Madison, Reistad was president of the UW Cycling Club for a year and a half. He also played a significant role in hosting the 2004 USA Cycling Collegiate Road National Championships in Madison, Wisconsin in 2004.

Donny Robinson – Athlete Representative, BMX

After earning a spot on the first U.S. Olympic BMX cycling team, Donny Robinson brought home a bronze medal from the 2008 Beijing Games, helping the U.S. earn three of the six total BMX medals awarded. The former national champion recently demonstrated his continued determination, winning the 2008 UCI Supercross overall title. Donny first began racing BMX bikes at the Napa Valley BMX Track when he was just six years old. By the age of eight he captured his first national-level win. From there, Donny began to progress through the ranks until he turned pro in 2002. Four years later, he illustrated his strength and consistency at the international level when he captured the overall UCI BMX Supercross World Cup title in 2006. Donny has appeared on NBC’s Today Show, Nightly News, Mad Money with Jim Kramer and has also been featured by ESPN The Magazine, Fast Company, New York Times and the Sports Business Journal, among others. Most recently, Donny was named to CNBC's "25 Most Marketable Olympians" list. Away from the track, Donny volunteers his time as an Athlete Ambassador for the United States Olympic Committee’s Team for Tomorrow. Even though training and racing take up most of his time, Donny finds the time to participate in his other passions which include tennis, golf, singing and dancing.

Bob Stapleton – USPRO Trustee

Bob Stapleton is the owner of Team Columbia – HTC and the founder of High Road Sports, Inc. An active supporter of women’s professional cycling since 2002, Bob has operated UCI ProTour teams and elite level women’s teams for the past three years. Prior to entering the world of cycling, he was President and Chief Operating Officer for VoiceStream Wireless.
