Track programs warm up at home and abroad
Eleven riders participated in USA Cycling track program events last week both at the Home Depot Center Velodrome in California and overseas.
NATIONAL DEVELOPMENT TEAM PROGRAM
As a part of USA Cycling's track development program, Iggy Silva (San Diego, Calif./Rock Racing) and Julian Kyer (Lyons, Colo./Trek-Livestrong) contested the Buttgen Six Day Night in Germany on Oct. 16. WOMEN'S DEVELOPMENT TEAM PROGRAM
Seven women including Shelly Olds (Scotts Valley, Calif./Proman), Lauren Franges-Tomayo (Asheville, N.C.), Kim Geist (Emmaus, Pa./Alliance Environmental), Coryn Rivera (Tustin,Calif./Proman), Catherine Fiedler-Cook (Long Beach, Calif./Timmasini),Cassandra Holman (Whittier, Calif./Tommasini) and Christen King (Huntington Beach, Calif./Proman) participated in a track prep camp Oct. 14-21 at the Home Depot Center Velodrome in Carson, Calif. These ladies, along with Daniel Holloway (Morgan Hill, Calif./Garmin-HoloweskoPartners-Felt), Guy East (Indianapolis, Ind./Trek-Livestrong), Austin Carroll (Orange, Calif./BMC) and Ian Moir (LongBeach, Calif./Rock Racing) spent several days with USA Cycling coaches training for the upcoming Beijing Track World Cup as well as UIV and Pro Six Day track competitions.
COMING UP...
USA Cycling's track programs will continue overseas next week contesting the Amsterdam Three-day in the Netherlands, Oct. 20-25 as well as the Eddy Merckx G.P. in Gent, Belgium on Oct. 25.
