Robbie got started biking when he lived in Chicago at about age four. Neighborhood kids were biking on the sidewalk without training wheels and he decided he could do that. All of a sudden, to his parents’ amazement, he took off without any help. Eventually, he got into competitive sports through swimming. He exclusively swam, until he discovered triathlons, through his dad. He began racing Xterra (swim, mountain bike, trail run) Triathlons following in his dad’s footsteps. At the same time, he was competing in swimming and triathlons, he was also mountain biking for cross-training. It wasn’t until his first year of high school that he began racing mountain bikes through his high school league. After some success at racing in the Colorado High School league, he decided to try mountain biking at the national level. He started his first national-level race in Soldier Hollow in 2019 with the help of his parents. He continued on the national circuit with races and USA Cycling Talent ID Camps and the 2019 Mountain Bike National Championships. He managed 2nd place in the Junior UCI category and launched myself into international racing by qualifying for the UCI Mountain Bike World Championships. He was even able to cap off the 2019 season by winning Xterra World Championships for the 15-18 age group.

In 2020, he pushed those other sports mostly to the side to focus on mountain bike racing, as he joined the Bear National Team for that season. He started the season strong, but like everyone was thrown a curveball with the COVID-19 pandemic. As 2021 rolled around and the pandemic continued, he started his U23 years with increasing success in the domestic field. He was consistently getting better results with every. When Nationals rolled around, he got 2nd again qualifying him for another World Championships. He also became the first Senior High School Mountain Bike National Champion. He was even able to race the Lenzerheide and Snowshoe World Cups getting a taste of the international racing scene. As the season winded down, he started college at Colorado College to continue furthering his education while pursuing a career in professional mountain biking.
