Meet the Athlete

Tejay has competed in numerous World Tours since turning pro in 2008, and is now considered a veteran of the sport. He notched two fifth place overall results at the 2012 and 2014 Tour de France and even won the white jersey for the Best Young Rider in 2012, what he claims to be one of the best moments in his career. Another standout moment was when he stood on the top step of the 2013 Amgen Tour of California podium with his then six-week old baby daughter. In 2017, Van Garderen scored a stage win at the Giro d'Italia. He's also been a part of several Team Time Trial stage wins in other international stage races.
