Riding Together Towards a More Inclusive Future

This free-to-enter challenge is meant to honor a cycling icon, shed light on the issues that persist in the cycling community, and raise money for those actively working to address them. Recreate Kittie's defiant journey and ride with the broader cycling community as we reflect on where we stand and how we are going to progress to make a more inclusive future for the sport.

From Feb. 8th - Feb. 28th, sync your rides and move your dot from Boston to Asbury Park and follow along with features, conversations and information to bring attention to how USA Cycling and it's community can build a more diverse, equitable and inclusive cycling community.

Kittie Knox Challenge Overivew

Who: Absolutely ANYONE and EVERYONE. Share the invitation!

What: A virtual challenge that sends riders on an almost 300 mile journey from Feb 8th - Feb 28th paying homage to Kittie Knox, an inspired Black cyclist from the late 1800's who led the fight for a brighter future for cycling. Follow your progress as we bring attention to the life of Kittie Knox and the issues that she fought for that still persist today, while also raising money to help increase diversity, equity and inclusion in cycling.

Why: Get active and ride with others towards a more inclusive and enjoyable future for cycling.

When: Challenge runs from Feb 8th to Feb 28th, 2021.

How to Participate: Just connect a device, sign up and start riding! Register here.

Details: This free-to-enter challenge is all about getting miles on your bike from Feb. 8-28th in honor of Kittie Knox and to support diversity, equity and inclusion efforts in cycling. Challenge yourself to ride virtually from Boston to New Jersey to commemorate a cycling icon in USA Cycling's inaugural 2021 Kittie Knox Challenge.

While the challenge is meant to get miles on your bike, it also aims to raise awareness (and money!) for diversity, equity and inclusion efforts in cycling.

As the challenge moves along, track your progress along the historic route, follow along with exclusive stage content presented by members of the USA Cycling community and consider a tax-deductible donation to USA Cycling's DEI Fund.
