Team USA Recap: BMX Race & Freestyle National Titles for Larsen, Ridenour, Dowell, and Roberts; Faulkner Wins Pan Am Time Trial Gold; 18 Medals at UCI Para Road World Cup
(March 27) – Kamren Larsen (Answer) won the elite men’s title and Payton Ridenour (BRGStore.com/Tioga) won the elite women’s crown at this year’s BMX National Championships, held in Rock Hill, South Carolina.
Larsen edged second-place Drew Polk (Syndyt/LSG) by a half bike length, with Rayne Lankford (Syndyt/Zenith Racing Group) taking 3rd.
Carly Kane (Huffy/Bell Helmets/Promax/Box) was 2nd behind Ridenour and Lexis Colby (Supercross BMX) placed 3rd.
Sean Day (Cycle Therapy Racing) won the U23 men’s title and Alexis Alden(Albe’s/Zeronine/Box) won the U23 women’s title.
Tommy Bruney (Fulltilt/Rift) took the Junior men’s title and Derin Merten (Racing Inc/Seven/Box/Promax/ODI/6D) won the Junior women’s crown.
(March 27-28) – Former world champion Justin Dowell won the elite men’s title and former world champion Hannah Roberts won the elite women’s title at this year’s BMX Freestyle National Championships, held at COR BMX Park.
Marcus Christopher earned silver and Daniel Sandoval earned bronze in the elite men’s final.
Angie Marino earned silver and Kier Sirlin scored bronze in the elite women’s final.

(March 20-22) – The Ike Hamilton Expo Center was the site for the Cajun Nationals and this year’s Collegiate BMX National Championships.
After two days of racing, Breanna Winter (Marian University) earned the Stars and Stripes jersey for Collegiate women and Robert Connelly (Lindsey Wilson University) took the Collegiate men’s title.
Rita Fedewa (Belmont Abbey College) was 2nd and Piper Yockelson (Marian University) was 3rd. Mekenna Martin (Lindsey Wilson University) and Sierra Samhammer (Marian University) placed 4th and 5th.
Jordan Callum (Marian University) was 2nd and Cameron Wing (Marian University) placed 3rd for Collegiate men. Joshua Trerise (Marian University) and Ricky Carter (Lindsey Wilson University) were 4th and 5th.
Marian University won the Team Omnium title, followed by Lindsey Wilson University and Belmont Abbey College in 2nd and 3rd.
(March 25-29) – AJ August (INEOS Grenadiers) finished 7th overall at the five-stage Coppi e Bartali race. The 20-year-old also placed 1st in the young rider category.

(March 25-29) – Luke Lamperti (EF Education-EasyPost) placed 9th at the Tour of Bruges, the 202 kilometer World Tour race in Belgium. Lamperti came in with a large group in 4:15:57, behind the winner Dylan Groenewegen.

(March 23-29) – Matthew Riccitello (Decathlon CMA CGM Team) placed 9th at the 7-stage Tour of Catalonia, which was won by Jonas Vingegaard. The 1,100-kilometer stage race started in Sant Feliu de Guixols, finished in Barcelona and had over 20,000 meters of climbing. Riccitello rode in support of his teammate, Felix Gall, who placed 6th.

(March 17-22) – Kristen Faulkner (EF Education-Oatly) won the opening day’s elite women’s individual time trial at the Pan Am Road Continental Championships in Monteria.
Faulkner covered the 31.4 kilometer course in 38:31, coming in 32 seconds ahead of 2nd-placed Emily Ehrlich (Virginia’s Blue Ridge TWENTY28). In mid-February, Faulkner, claimed two Pan Am gold medals on the track, in Team Pursuit and Individual Pursuit.
Ehrlich placed 6th in the elite women’s road race, the top-placing American on the 120-kilometer course. The 32-year-old came in with a large group in 2:59:20.

(March 21-22) – Team USA earned 18 medals over four days of racing at Round 1 of the Paracycling World Cup, held in Chiang Mai. The Americans kicked things off in time trial, earning five gold, two silver and three bronze medals. They wrapped the weekend up with the road race, earning three golds, two silvers and three bronze, and finishing second in the medal count.

(March 21-22) – A weekend of circuit, road, and criterium racing in Jackson, Georgia at the Outdoor Capital Classic served as a stop on both the Junior Road National Series and Paracycling National Calendar.
For the juniors, Diego Duran placed 1st in omnium, followed by Samuel Frauenholtz and Martin Gill in 2nd and 3rd.
On the paracycling side, Bryan Lara won the H4 omnium title, with Joe Pomeroy winning the H3 omnium, and Stephen Zuravel taking the H2 omnium.
In the Pro 1-3 men’s category, Preston Eye won the omnium title with 93 points, followed by Ian Schwing, Michael Zinkann, Brock Mason (all with 80 points) and Owen Lloyd (79 points).
Ava Wilson won the women’s omnium, followed by Katey Krisky, Emma Frost, Gabriella Dixon and Ines Mendez.

(March 18-22) – The second stop of the 2026 USA Cycling Cross-Country Mountain Bike National Series and round 1 of the USXC Open Series took place over five days in Fayetteville.
Christopher Blevins (Specialized), the reigning World Cup champion in XCC and XCO, won elite men’s short track, followed by Riley Amos (Trek-Unbroken XC), Carter Woods (Giant Factory Off-Road), Tyler Orschel (KMC Nukeproff) and Owen Clark (Pivot Cycles-OTE) in 2nd-5th.
Haley Batten (Specialized) won the elite women’s short track race, followed by Gwen Gibson (Trek-Unbroken XC), Rafaelle Carrier (Trinity Racing), Marin Lowe (Liv Factory Racing) and Maddy Munro (Liv Factory Racing).
Christopher Blevins won Wednesday’s UCI C1 XCO race, the first of two, with Riley Amos, Zorak Paille (Pivot Cycles OTE), Owen Clark and Tyler Orschel placing 2nd-5th.
Haley Batten won Wednesday’s UCI C1 XCO elite women’s race, followed by Maddy Munro, Gwen Gibson, Marin Lowe and Ella MacPhee (Wilier Vittoria).
In UCI C1 Junior XCO racing, Ethan Wood (Charge XC Racing) won the men’s race and Sophia Wellmeier (Bear National Team) won the women’s race.
Ian Ackert (Pivot Cycles OTE) won the UCI U23 men’s race, while Elli Clark (Caledon Hills Armada) won the UCI U23 women’s race.
Riley Amos won the UCI HC XCO elite men’s race on Saturday, followed by Gunnar Holmgren (Pivot Cycles-OTE), Carter Woods, Owen Clark and Jack Spranger.
Gwen Gibson won the XCO elite women’s race, followed by Haley Batten, Maddy Munro, Marin Lowe and Maria Carolina Flores Garcia.
In UCI HC XCO Junior racing, Ethan Wood and Sophia Wellmeier again won the men’s and women’s races.
Ian Ackert repeated his win in the U23 men’s race, while Rafaelle Carrier (Trinity Racing) won the U23 women’s race.

(March 25-29) – Aletha Ostgaard won the elite women’s race and Luca Shaw won the elite men’s race on the first stop of the USA Cycling Downhill National Series, at Ride Rock Creek. In addition to the pros, amateurs competed in their age groups.
For the elite women, Anna Newkirk took silver and Tilly Melton bronze, followed by Kailey Skelton and Taylor Ostgaard in 4th and 5th.
Ryan Pinkerton earned silver and Asa Vermette bronze in the elite men’s race, followed by Ryder Lawrence and Dante Silva.
Stop number two in the Monster Energy Pro Downhill Series is at Mountain Creek Bike Park in Vernon, New Jersey, May 6-10.
