USA Cycling, Inc., along with all affiliates and subsidiaries (collectively referred to as “Company,” “Our,” “Us,” or “We”), respects your privacy and is dedicated to protecting it through compliance with this Online Privacy Policy (this “Policy”).

This Policy applies to any personal data we may collect when you interact with our website, mobile application(s), social media account(s), or our programs, events, and competitions (collectively, the “Services”). This Policy is intended for residents of the United States only.

Please read this Policy carefully to understand our practices regarding your information and how we will treat it. If you do not agree with our practices, please do not use our Services.

Children Under the Age of 13 

We do not knowingly collect, use, or disclose personal data about visitors under the age of 13. If you are under 13 years old, you may only use our Services with your parent’s or guardian’s permission and with our verification of parental consent. If you believe we may have received any information from or about your child in error, please get in touch with us at membership@usacycling.org so we can make reasonable efforts to delete that information.

This section outlines the types of personal data we may collect about you offline and online. The term “personal data” is defined here and throughout this Policy to refer to any information that identifies, relates to, describes, or could reasonably be linked, directly or indirectly, to you. We may collect the following categories of personal data:

  • Identifiers, such as a real name, alias, postal address, unique personal identifier, online identifier, email address, account name, social security number, driver’s license number, passport number, or other similar identifiers; Financial Information, such as bank account number, credit card number, debit card number, transaction information or any other financial information;
  • Insurance Information, such as insurance policy number, or health insurance information;
    • We do not collect this information through our website. However, we may gather it from our athletes when they attend camps or events.
  • Medical or Health Information;
    • We may collect limited amounts of health information in accordance with our transgender participation policy or through paracycling classification. However, we do not collect this information through our website.
  • Characteristics of Protected Classifications under state or federal law, such as age, gender, and marital status;
  • Commercial Information, such as records of personal property, products or services purchased, obtained, or considered, or other purchasing or consuming histories or tendencies;
  • Network Activity Information, such as browsing history and interactions with our websites or advertisements, Internet Protocol address, communications, or social media properties; and
  • Geolocation Data
 
How We Collect Information About You

Information you Directly Provide to Us: We collect the information you provide to us when you fill in forms on our website, make a purchase with us, contact us by email, forms on our website, our social media properties, or other means, respond to surveys, or when you make search queries on the website. 

If you submit personal data about other individuals to us, you affirm that you have the authority to do so and to allow us to use that information in accordance with this Policy.

  • Right to correct You may have the right to request that we correct any personal data about you that is inaccurate. Depending on the purpose of the processing, you also have the right to request that we complete the personal data we hold about you where you believe it is incomplete, including by means of providing a supplementary statement.

We will respond within a reasonable timeframe and in accordance with applicable law. 

 
Data Security

We have implemented reasonable technical and organizational measures to secure your personal data against accidental loss, unauthorized access, use, alteration, and disclosure. The safety and security of your information also depend on the choices and actions you make. If we have provided you with a password to access certain parts of our Services, or if you have chosen one, you are responsible for keeping that password confidential. Unfortunately, the transmission of information over the internet is not completely secure. While we do our best to protect your personal data, we cannot guarantee the security of the information you transmit to our Services. Any transmission of personal data is at your own risk.
