Born in Jamestown, Ohio, Norman was born with congenital constriction band syndrome, leading to the amputation of her left leg and right big toe at a young age. She is a 3x Paralympian and 2x Paralympic Gold Medalist in Triathlon. After her recent gold in the Paris Paralympics, she decided to take on the challenge of road cycling with the goal of dual sport qualification in the Los Angeles 2028 Paralympics. She went on to earn the women’s C4 silver medal at the 2025 UCI Paracycling Road World Championships in the Time Trial.
