103 National Titles Awared at the 2022 USA Cycling Masters Track National Championships

Masters athletes competed for national titles in multiple events at the Major Taylor Velodrome in Indianapolis last week.

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The 2022 USA Cycling Masters Track National Championships brought some very exciting racing to Indianapolis. After six days of racing, 103 national titles were awarded. Two additional awards were also given to each age category and gender for Best All-Around Team and Best All-Around Rider.

Day 1:

High temperatures kicked off the week causing riders to have to work twice as hard to get to the finish line. With the first round of sprints taking place in the morning and the finals taking place in the evening, eleven riders would take home gold medals at the end of the night.

Day 2:

Riders took to the track early in the morning on Wednesday. The day kicked off and ended with individual pursuits. 18 riders would take home gold medals after a busy day of racing.

Fast 500 meter and kilo times greeted Major Taylor Velodrome as 21 riders raced against the clock to win national titles on Thursday.

Bunch racing was on top for Day 4 of Track Nationals. Riders competed in both the scratch races and points races. 36 riders would take home national championship jerseys.
