This year's fan-favorite was Team Black made up of John Croom (El Paso, Texas; Team Black) and Tristan Maderfeld (Colorado Springs, Colo.; Team Black). After incredible performances earlier this year at Elite Track Nationals, these two riders were sure to put on a show. Riders took to the track and racing was hot from the start. Team Black's point advantage was significant at the halfway point, but it was still anybody's race. Team Blue and Team Brown continued sprinting hard for the points, but in the end, Team Black rode away with the win.
Team Blue would take second, and Team Brown would finish in third.
