USA Cycling announced a date change on Tuesday for the 2024 Junior Track National Championships in Redmond, Wash. With the help of the Jerry Baker Velodrome, the event will now be held August 1-4, 2024, two weeks earlier than the previously announced date of August 15-17. The event will be three days with August 4th added in case of weather delays.
“Once it was brought to our attention that the UCI had announced their date and location for the Junior Track World Championships, we began having conversations with our Sports Performance team and the Jerry Baker Velodrome to move our National Championship,” said USA Cycling’s Director of National Events, Kyle Knott. “Given that the Junior Track National Championships is one of the best opportunities for finding top talent, we wanted to make sure it was included in the World Championships selection procedures.”
The 2024 Junior Track National Championship will be a qualifier for the 2024 UCI Junior Track World Championships held in Luoyang, China on August 21-25.
