USA Cycling is partnering with the USA Juniors Cup to provide a national development race series that offers a competitive format, reliable calendar, exceptional support, and meaningful recognition. For 2024, three of the six events in the series have been designated as National Team Selection events, and top performers will be awarded National Team camp invitations.
“We are excited to continue growing the series and doing whatever it takes to make Junior Development in the USA the best infrastructure in the world. We want our Juniors to win it all on and off their bikes as great competitors and people,” said Pablo Santa Cruz, series founder.
The Overall General Classification winners for the Junior 17-18 Men’s and Women’s races will earn an automatic nomination for a 2024 National Team trip, funded by the USA Juniors Cup. Simultaneously, the best-placed 15-16 male and female of each selection race will be invited to attend a USA Cycling European Race Camp. The selection events include: Valley of the Sun Stage Race (Arizona), La Primavera (Texas) Tour of America's Dairyland (Wisconsin).

“Our goal was to create a pathway where junior racers and their parents have a clear guide to earning spots in our National Team programs and we can identify the best talent in the United States,” said USA Cycling’s Road Director Tanner Putt.
The USA Cycling Masters & Junior Road National Championships will also be a National Team camp selection event. The winners of the Junior 17 -18 Individual Time Trial and Road Race will be extended invited to a 2024 camp.
“There is much to be done in Junior development in the USA, and we have the right people and the right support to surpass all expectations. It is time for everyone to get involved in making a difference by supporting USA Cycling and building upon the structure that the USA Juniors Cup provides,” said Billy Jones, series founder and PRO Cyclist Foundation Director.
In addition to the selection races, the top three USA Juniors Cup 17-18 male and female, and the top 15-16 male and female overall finishers will earn invites to a USA Cycling National Talent ID Camp. This camp will take place at the Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, CO from September 26-October 5, 2024.
