Meet the Athlete

Ella started out racing BMX and then transitioned into racing downhill when she was 11, competing in regional races. She raced the National Championships for the first time in 2018 and started competing internationally in 2020. Ella raced her first World Championships in 2020 and placed 5th. She raced all of the World Cups in both 2020 and 2021 as a junior gaining experience on the international stage. Some of her most notable results include: being a three time national champion, 3rd place at the 2021 Snowshoe World Cup, and 3rd at the 2020 Maribor World Cup, all in the Junior Women's class. Ella is compassionate, driven, and approachable. Her parents and younger sister all race downhill as well, and Ella loves being able to share her passion with them.

What are your pre-race rituals?

Before racing, I like to warm myself up by jump roping and doing some yoga. I also like to listen to music and take deep breaths to stay clam. I envision myself riding the course smooth and fast multiple times.
