Emma started racing at 9 years old with her brother Curtis White and quickly developed a reputation in the North East as a top road and cyclocross racer. Her results garnered her place on the United States National team as well as the Cannondale-Cyclocrossworld.com squad to race cyclocross. As a junior she developed into one of the best riders in the world, capping a brilliant junior career with dual silver medals at the 2015 UCI World Championships. In addition to moving into the professional ranks in 2016, she started her first year of college at Union College in Schenectady, New York majoring in Computer Science / Science, Medicine, and Technology ID. White eventually transitioned to racing on the track. In 2020, she and her teammates won the Women's Team Pursuit World Championships. She went on to qualify for her first Olympics Games in 2021 to compete in the Team Pursuit where the team rode to a bronze medal. After the Olympics, Emma retired from professional cycling to pursue a full-time job as a Software Engineer.
