Abby moved to Germany for her dad’s job when she was young. She was always very into sports like soccer and snowboarding, but she didn’t get into biking until her late teens. Fast forward to 2015, she first found mountain biking through a bike program at school, led by a very ambitious teacher. From there she got straight into downhill mountain biking with some friends and attempted her first “Rookies Cup” Race in Winterberg. Winning by 10-seconds, she was fired up to race all the German Cups in the Open category, then moved to Elite, then started racing the European Cups. She never had the chance to race World Cups in the junior category because she didn’t race her first World Cup until she was 19. In 2021, she found herself racing for Team USA at World Championships in Italy. Since then, she has co-founded her own all-girls UCI Team with her best friend and racing as an elite in her first full World Cup season. Living and riding in Europe is amazing, but to this day she has yet to race a national championship.
Growing up, every sport I did intensely, I wanted to become a professional in. I always had high ambitions for myself and loved the feeling of pushing my limits. I had a need for speed and I wanted to be the best at everything that I did. To this day, I still strive to be the best in my field and I love the way sports are so versatile in fostering community and competition at the same time.

Stretching & Mobility in the morning, porridge for breakfast, lots of caffeine, warming up on the roadbike. But most of all, doing F1 reaction speed games with my teammate/ best friend Anna & giving her a big hug before we go head to head on the track.
