This unique event will be hosted by RGT Cycling, and will be run on the Pienza course. The 5.1 mile loop is a mix of rolling hills and punchy climbs, with the finish to be decided on a climb. Both the men's and women's event will cover 6 laps, or 30.6 miles of racing. Each lap will have 771 ft of climbing, with a maximum grade of 6%.
Course: Pienza
Pienza, one of the more recent courses added to RGT, was inspired by the L’Eroica Montalcino vintage bicycle race. It is set in the stunning Tuscany region, with a variety of vineyards, but always dominated by the hilltop town of Pienza and its imposing stone walls. It’s a great little circuit and races over a few laps will find you doing more climbing than you may suspect.

World Championship Selection Criteria Guidelines
The selection criteria can be viewed at this link.
All riders will be required to participate in a test event the week of the race that is hosted by RGT Cycling. Any rider who does not participate in one event and submit a result for power and trainer verification will not be allowed to start
The power source for this race may either be a smart trainer or a power meter on the bike (Quarq, SRM, Stages, PowerTap, etc.). It is highly encouraged and recommended that both a smart trainer and a power meter are used, but only one or the other is required. The day of and prior to the event a calibration or zeroing-out of the power source will need to be completed. Calibration of the trainer and/or the power meter shall be in accordance with the manufacturer's recommendations. If no recommendation can be found please use the following protocol:
- Warm up the trainer or power meter for 15 minutes minimum. This can be an easy spin.
- Using the manufacturer’s app (Sram AXS, Rouvy, Wahoo, etc…), or your Wahoo/Garmin head unit, to perform a calibration/spin-down of the component.
- And done. It's that easy.
*Proof of the calibration/ spin-down must be provided in an online form (to be provided) along with the weigh-in video. This can be a video of the calibration process and showing the results screen or a screenshot showing the result of the calibration.*
