Fan Code of Conduct

USA Cycling is committed to ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience at USA Cycling events. This Fan Code of Conduct is intended to address conduct that is inconsistent with these goals and detracts from the event experience. The Fan Code of Conduct is applicable to all attendees of USA Cycling sanctioned events, whether as a spectator, participant, or otherwise.

The following conduct is prohibited at every USA Cycling sanctioned event:

  • Behavior that is unruly, disruptive, threatening or violent in nature, including verbal or physical harassment of officials, athletes, staff, volunteers, or fans
  • Conduct that is illegal
  • Conduct that interferes with the operation of the event
  • Intentionally placing, dropping, or throwing any substance or object onto the course
  • Conduct that results in damage to the venue or other personal property
  • Conduct that interferes with other fans’ enjoyment of the spectator experience
  • Displaying signs, symbols, images, using language, or making gestures that are threatening, abusive, or discriminatory on the basis of race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, gender, gender identity, ability, or sexual orientation
  • Wearing obscene or indecent clothing
  • At events where alcohol is permitted, attendees will consume alcohol in a responsible manner
  • Failure to comply with event or venue rules

Any attendee who does not comply with this Fan Code of Conduct may be subject to penalty, including, but not limited to, ejection from the event without refund and loss of privileges for attending future events. USA Cycling members are also subject to USA Cycling’s Policies, Regulations, and Member Code of Conduct and may be subject to further discipline up to and including suspension of membership privileges.
