Batten and Courtney Ride To Podium Finishes at Albstadt MTB World Cup

By: Angelina Palermo  May 10, 2021

What an incredible performance for #TeamUSA this weekend at the Albstadt Mountain Bike World Cup in Germany. It was all about the young talent with Haley Batten (Park City, Utah; Trinity Racing) and Christopher Blevins (Durango, Colo.; Trinity Racing) competing in their first Elite World Cups and wow did they show the world what's coming!

Batten ticked off riders one by one and saw herself in a podium position by the third lap and rode away with a bronze medal. Just behind her was superstar Kate Courtney (Kentfield, Calif.; SCOTT-SRAM Factory Racing) finishing in 4th. In the men's race, 154 riders took the starting line. Blevins had a solid call-up after finishing 16th in Friday's Short Track and rode to a 13th place finish.

Riley Amos (Durango, Colo.; Bear National Team) was the highlight of the U23 races finishing in 5th! This was his first race out of the junior category. The future is bright for #TeamUSA!
