THE AMERICAN CRITERIUM CUP LAUNCHES 2024 SERIES

In its third season, the best criterium team talent in the world will compete in eight races across eight states over 35 days, supported by USA Cycling.

Led by a group of independent criterium race organizers with input from professional and domestic teams and athletes, The American Criterium Cup (ACC), an eight-race professional criterium series elevating the stature of criterium racing in the United States, announced details for their 2024 American Criterium Cup. The series includes eight races in Oklahoma, Wisconsin, Idaho, Utah, Indiana, Illinois, Colorado and Missouri between June 7 – September 1.

The 2024 ACC race schedule is as follows. Registration is open for all eight races on their respective race websites.

- First in the 2024 series, the Saint Francis Tulsa Tough is a unique three-day (June 7 – 9) cycling festival experience for racers, riders and spectators to enjoy in downtown Tulsa, Oklahoma and along the banks of the Arkansas River. The ACC race occurs on Friday, June 7.

“We’re excited to kick off the 2024 American Criterium Cup at the Saint Francis Tulsa Tough race,” said Malcolm McCollam, Executive Director, Saint Francis Tulsa Tough. “In a few short weeks, talented cyclists, riders and fans will have the opportunity to participate in what will surely be an electric, goosebump-inducing spectacle. We look forward to welcoming everyone from training wheel-toting toddlers to elite racers to celebrate the sport of cycling in the first race in this exciting and esteemed series.”

- An 11-day competitive road cycling series (June 13 – 23), the Kwik Trip Tour of America’s Dairyland, offers high-level, inclusive bike racing through vibrant Southeast Wisconsin communities. Celebrating its 15th anniversary in 2024, the race series has been named one of USA Today’s 10Best Road Cycling events. The second race of the 2024 ACC occurs on Saturday, June 22 at the iconic 45th annual Café Hollander Otto Wentz Downer Classic.

- The Bailey & Glasser LLP Twilight Criterium is a one-day twilight race on Saturday, June 29. The top pro women’s and men’s cycling teams in the U.S. will be joined by the best local and national amateur riders to turn the streets of downtown Boise, Idaho into a high-speed, high-stakes race course.

- Next on the the 2024 ACC race tour is Salt Lake City, Utah for the LHM|CC Salt Lake Criterium, which begins on Saturday, July 6, with the 2024 ACC race on Sunday, July 7. In its fifth year, the race boasts fun, fast and adrenaline-filled racing with Utah’s finest views.

- The IU Health Momentum Indy is a two-day (July 12 – 13) cycling celebration of bike races, bike rides, family festivities and more, in the heart of downtown Indianapolis, Indiana. The 2024 ACC race is on Friday, July 12.

- The sixth event of the ACC is the Chicago Grit, a 10-day (July 19 – 28) race series with the 2024 ACC race occurring on Saturday, July 27. Formerly called the Intelligentsia Cup, the riders travel to 10 distinct communities in and surrounding Chicago, Illinois as part of the largest road racing series in the U.S.

- A one-day (August 3) race, the Audi Denver Littleton Criterium is packed full of epic racing in downtown Littleton, Colorado. Guests will enjoy thrilling races, live music, family-friendly activities and more on the second-to-last stop of the 2024 ACC series.

- The 2024 ACC series finale is the four-day Bommarito Audi West County Gateway Cup (August 30 – September 2) which will take fans through unique St. Louis, Missouri neighborhoods over Labor Day weekend. The final 2024 ACC race occurs on Sunday, September 1.

    Between all eight ACC locations, a combined total of 34 days of racing are offered, which together make up USA Cycling’s Criterium National Series, a premiere collection of racing that attracts top national talent and offers riders of all skill levels the opportunity to compete.

    “The ACC is one of the most prestigious criterium series in the country, featuring dynamic racing, interesting team tactics, and elite racers from many nations.     New to the ACC this year is the ACC Junior Criterium Cup, a series designed for athletes between the ages of 15-18 to showcase their talent as the next generation of American cyclists. Riders ages 15-16- and 17-18 will compete for ACC Leaders Jerseys, and Junior Series leaders will share the podium at the ACC Final with the winners of the professional series.

    Returning are the ACC Sprint Competition and the ACC Team Competition. The ACC has introduced an updated point structure this year to create an exciting environment through the entire season. Points will be awarded to the first 15 places per day. All regulations and competition details are available online.
