USA Cycling Announces Club Innovation Grant Recipients

The Club Innovation Grant recognizes and supports cycling clubs and teams that leverage innovation to foster the growth of bicycle racing. This new grant program is designed to promote growth, creativity, and engagement within the cycling community while strengthening the relationship between USA Cycling and riders.

Recipients:

606 Racing (Chicago, Ill.)

Fostering development of elite cyclists by focusing on competitive preparation, tactics, and goal setting. Through our efforts, we hope to inspire and empower more women and underrepresented groups to embrace cycling and ultimately contribute to a more diverse and thriving cycling community.
 

Team Athens (Athens, Ohio)

Team Athens is a modern cycling team with a holistic outlook in which all riders, young and young at heart, are encouraged to participate in competitive cycling as a way to bolster their physical and mental well-being. We particularly want to encourage more female and college-aged groups to get involved, and we are achieving this in our weekly rides as well as our race.
 

Texas Devo (Cedar Park, Texas)
 

We are the premier Texas junior off-road cycling development team run by Texans and sponsored by Texans. With the goal of growing junior competitive cycling in the state of Texas, the Texas Devo Cycling Team promotes youth development and provides assistance and support to amateur junior cyclists based in Texas that show potential on both the national and world levels of competition. Through this team, athletes are given coaching, mentorship, and logistical support for traveling to and attending local and national events. The team also uses educational resources to sponsor and promote the sport of cycling and perform various community service projects. We hope to build more support for youth cycling and foster healthy and positive competition. 
 

TeamBSR Cycling Development (East Greenville, Pa.)
 

TeamBSR Cycling Development is a foundational hub for all levels and all disciplines of competitive cycling. The mission of TeamBSR is to promote individual, team, and community development and promote mental health awareness through the sport of cycling. We take pride in developing our athletes into teammates, leaders, humanitarians, and above all; respectful members of society. We value sportsmanship, hard-work, resilience, camaraderie, adaptation, and pursuit of excellence. Our driving spirit is to never quit, persevering through every challenge. Behind every race win is 50 losses, hundreds of training hours, motivational struggles, personal life hurdles, anger, and sadness. TeamBSR strives to promote trusting and enjoying the process of developing cycling champions.
 

Cross Creek Cycling Club (Fayetteville, N.C.)
 

The mission of the Cross Creek Cycling Club is to encourage all people to participate in bicycling without regard to age or expertise. We promote all aspects of bicycling with special emphasis on bicycle safety and bicyclists' rights and responsibilities and general health and fitness. We also seek to enhance communications among cyclists to provide opportunities for bicycling and socializing with others.
 

EuroCrossAcademy (Helena, Mont.)
 

EuroCrossAcademy (ECA) is a highly regarded cyclocross student-athlete development program, based both in the U.S. and in Europe. Founded in 2003, ECA trains aspiring, young student-athletes, ages 14-20, through summer domestic preparation camps and European competition opportunities. We focus on long-term, holistic development through both a character-driven curriculum and a process-to-performance philosophy.
 

Monarch Racing (El Cerrito, Calif.)
 

Monarch Racing is a Northern California-based domestic elite women's road team formed in 2023 that provides full support to ambitious riders seeking to race at the professional level in the U.S. In 2025, the team is launching Monarch Racing Development - a NorCal U19 girls road team. All elite riders engage with their communities and aim to pass on the knowledge, support, and opportunities they've received to the next generation of athletes.
 

Half Acre Cycling (Chicago, Ill.)
 

We’re a friendly and social group of folks who love bikes, improving our skills, advancing our sport, and keeping cycling fun, accessible, and safe for all. Our team is extremely supportive of every member. No matter your experience level, ability, age, race, gender, or bike discipline, we cheer one another on–and we usually do it loudly and with delicious sponsored beverages and tasty treats in hand. As a USA Cycling club, we have racers of all genders who race in categories 2 through 5/Novice.
 

Competitive Edge Racing (West Suffield, Conn.)
 

At Competitive Edge Racing, we get the opportunity to support some of New England best Cross riders. Behind the trophies, there are thousands of hours of literal blood, sweat, and tears put into training. Long days in the sand pit and miles clocked on the road, all to prepare to put on the Comp Edge jersey and toe the starting line.
 

Project Echelon Racing (Waukesha, Wis.)
 

Project Echelon is a UCI Continental Professional Cycling Team that educates, equips and empowers veterans and their communities ​through physical activity and self discovery. As an organization, Project Echelon removes the barriers to healing by fostering relationships between veterans, their communities, and professional athletes through mentorship, structure, and the promotion of long term health and wellbeing ​​through endurance sport.
