USA Cycling announced on Tuesday that there will be several staff changes and additions in the area of Event Operations. These changes come as the organization works to strengthen its core operations after over a year of COVID impacts on the community.
Trish Black will be taking over the role of Director of Event and Customer Service, overseeing USA Cycling’s relationship with event organizers and leading a new consolidated customer service team.
Bonnie Walker will be joining USA Cycling as Technical Director, working to strengthen USA Cycling technical programs, including regulations and race officials. A long-time official and member of the cycling community, she brings valuable experience to the position.
Justin Evans will take more of a role on USA Cycling’s Collegiate and Youth programs as he moves into the position of Collegiate and Youth Programs Manager. Justin, a former collegiate racer, official, and club president, brings years of passion for collegiate racing to the position.
"USA Cycling is excited to see new talent champion our programs, participation, and performances of our members. The promotion of Trish and Justin into positions that will guide event organizers and collegiate programs, communities that will grow cycling in the U.S., is invaluable to the organization. Adding Bonnie brings a wealth of knowledge and experience that helps round out the team." said Chuck Hodge, Chief of Racing and Events.
These individuals will play a vital role in the future success of USA Cycling.
