The Junior Men kicked off the weekend on Friday evening. With four strong teams lined up, spectators knew they were in for some exciting racing. Multiple teams grabbed points early on, but Team Pink had an advantage that grew significantly towards the end of the race.

Team Pink, made up of Antonio Rossi (San Diego, Calif.; Team Pink) and Javier Jimenez (San Diego, Calif.; Team Pink), would end up taking the top spot followed by Team Gold in second and Team Yellow in third.

Elite Women

The Elite Women would kick off Saturday's races on the track. Lined up were three strong teams made up of riders with varying backgrounds in the sport.

Team Blue went after points left and right to add to the scoreboard early. After a dominating performance, Team Blue stayed ahead all the way to the finish earning the national championship jerseys. Team Orange would take second, followed by Team Purple in third.

Elite Men

The weekend wrapped up with the Elite Men doing their 180-lap Madison race.

This year's fan-favorite was Team Black made up of John Croom (El Paso, Texas; Team Black) and Tristan Maderfeld (Colorado Springs, Colo.; Team Black). After incredible performances earlier this year at Elite Track Nationals, these two riders were sure to put on a show. Riders took to the track and racing was hot from the start. Team Black's point advantage was significant at the halfway point, but it was still anybody's race. Team Blue and Team Brown continued sprinting hard for the points, but in the end, Team Black rode away with the win.

Team Blue would take second, and Team Brown would finish in third.

Teams in the final:

Team Black - John Croom (El Paso, Texas; Team Black) / Tristan Manderfeld (Colorado Springs, Colo.; Team Black)

Team Blue - Ryan Jastrab (Apple Valley, Calif.; Team Blue) / Kyle Perry (Indianapolis, Ind.; Team Blue)

Team Red - Eddy Huntsman (Newport Beach, Calif.; Team Red) / Brody McDonald (Escondido, Calif.; Team Red)

Team Brown - Dan Breuer (Chicago, Illi.; Team Brown) / Lucas Strain (Bentonville, Ark.; Team Brown)

Team Green - Brad Green (Schnecksville, Pa.; Team Green) / Will Bobrow (Louisville, Ky.; Team Green)

Team Orange - Cade Bickmore (Longmont, Colo.; Team Orange) / James Hilyer (Albuquerque, N.M.; Team Orange)

Team Purple - Ben Crismon (Louisville, Ky.; Team Purple / Martin Vecchio (Detroit, Mich.; Team Purple)

The event returns to the Lexus Velodrome next year! Congratulations to all of the athletes that raced in this year's USA Cycling Madison Track National Championship.
