
Emma Jimenez Palos Finishes 5th in Women’s Omnium at 2025 UCI Junior Track World Championships
On the third day of the 2025 UCI Junior Track World Championships, Team USA took on the Men’s Points Race, Women’s Omnium, and Men’s Pursuit at the Omnisport Apeldoorn Arena.
Merrick Gallagher (Redmond, Wash.; Jerry Baker Juniors) put in a strong ride, winning the eighth sprint and adding five points to his tally. While unable to gain a lap on the leaders, he secured a top-10 finish out of 24 riders, placing 8th overall.

Emma Jimenez Palos (Novi, Mich.; TWENTY28 Aevolo) delivered a consistent performance across the Scratch, Tempo, Elimination, and Points races. Sitting tied for second heading into the final event, she scored four more points to finish with 108, just one point shy of the podium, earning 5th overall.

Ashlin Barry (Toronto, Ont.; JEGG - SKIL - DJR powered by Visma Lease-a-Bike) and Peyton Burckel (Lacombe, La.; EF Education-ONTO) lined up in the morning’s Pursuit qualifying. Barry clocked strong splits to finish 6th, while Burckel battled to 12th.

Tomorrow marks the Men’s Omnium where Ashlin Barry (Toronto, Ont.; JEGG - SKIL - DJR powered by Visma Lease-a-Bike) scored a podium in last year’s event. Emma Jimenez Palos (Novi, Mich.; TWENTY28 Aevolo) will take on the Individual Pursuit.
