The goal of the Team BSR Talent Discovery Project is simple: make cycling more accessible, more welcoming, and more exciting for people who’ve never had a clear way into the sport. Sometimes, all it takes is one moment.
For Chris Bittner, that moment came at a local community day where we had a trainer set up for fun power tests. Chris rolled up in slides, curious but not exactly dressed for performance. He hopped on the bike, gave it a go, and casually put out nearly 1,700 watts. It was raw, untrained talent.
Since that day, Chris has gone all-in. He’s now training consistently, racing regularly, and already winning local training events. What started with wheelies and a pair of slippers turned into something serious, fast.
Chris’s story is exactly what the Talent Discovery Project is all about: giving people a chance to try, and helping them realize they belong in the sport too.
