Intermountain Healthcare Joins USA Cycling as Official Healthcare Services Provider

Intermountain will provide medical services for the USA Cycling National Team and Olympic Development Academy

USA Cycling announced today their new partnership with Intermountain Healthcare, as Official Healthcare Services Provider. Intermountain is a medical service provider in Utah, Idaho, and Nevada. The organization will be providing medical services for the USA Cycling National Team and Olympic Development Academy.

“In an effort to champion the safety of our athletes, we’re excited to have Intermountain Healthcare in our network of medical providers,” said Bouker Pool, Chief Commercial Officer. “The support from Intermountain is crucial for our athletes to compete at the highest level and having the peace of mind knowing they will be taken care of.”

The various medical services offered will include blood work, mental health services, lactate threshold tests, nutrition consultation, physical therapy, lower extremity function assessments, in-person and remote access to sports medicine physicians, MRI’s, and others. The Intermountain facilities will also be available to USA Cycling athletes for high-performance training opportunities.

“We remain committed ensuring that our athletes have access to the best medical care. Partnering with Intermountain Healthcare opens up so many possibilities for USA Cycling and our athletes. This is a win all around the board,” said Dr. Michael Roshon, USA Cycling’s Chief Medical Officer.

Additionally, Sports Medicine Physician, Dr. Max Testa, will be working directly with the athletes to help them reach their peak performance. USA Cycling Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Michael Roshon, will also be working with Intermountain to coordinate the best possible care for the athletes. USA Cycling is working on expanding its network of medical service providers around the country.
