KELSEY ERICKSON PROMOTED TO EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR OF ATHLETE HEALTH & WELLNESS

USA Cycling announced today the promotion of Kelsey Erickson to Executive Director of Athlete Health & Wellness where she will join the organization’s leadership team to oversee and guide all athlete wellness programs and lead USA Cycling’s Diversity, Equity and Inclusion initiatives.

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – USA Cycling announced today the promotion of Kelsey Erickson to Executive Director of Athlete Health & Wellness where she will join the organization’s leadership team to oversee and guide all athlete wellness programs and lead USA Cycling’s Diversity, Equity and Inclusion initiatives.

Erickson will continue to head SafeSport, Race Clean and the well-being initiatives, in addition to working as part of the athletics team in developing and implementing the high performance plan required for USA Cycling’s coaches and athletes to excel. Erickson joined the organization in 2019 after nearly a decade working in international anti-doping.

“Kelsey has demonstrated a real passion and expertise for the areas of athlete wellness and diversity, equity and inclusion,” said Rob DeMartini, President and CEO of USA Cycling, “I look forward to her increased contributions in these areas and working with the leadership team, and to her playing an integral role with Jim Miller and the athletics team.”

Erickson was recently named #22 on Cycling News’ “The Power List: The 50 most influential people in cycling”.

“I am honored and humbled to have my evolving work with USA Cycling recognized and I am looking forward to expanding my role within the organization and increasing its support of athletes, coaches, and the greater riding community,” said Erickson, “It is a privilege to serve and challenge this community to evolve, including in the area of being more inclusive and welcoming to anyone who rides a bike at any level. I look forward to leading further important initiatives for USA Cycling.”
