Team Events Conclude the 2024 USA Cycling Elite & Para-Cycling Track National Championships on Sunday

Four teams earn Stars and Stripes jerseys on the final day of Track Nationals.

The fourth and final day packed one morning session with the remaining four events including: Women’s Team Pursuit, Men’s Team Pursuit, Women’s Team Sprint, and Men’s Team Sprint. The podiums were stacked with incredible talent and fourteen new National Champions were crowned.

TEAM PURSUIT

In the Women’s Team Pursuit Final, Rutecki/Gonzalez/Kendall/Votava would face Patrick/Bates/James/Gulick for gold. After a well-fought five laps, Patrick/Bates/James/Gulick made the catch and claimed the National Title.

Qualifying in the top spot with a time of 4:15.908, Johnson/Abshire/Domonoske/Seggebruch would go up against Bowie/Gallagher/Paul/Haggard in the Men’s Team Pursuit Final. Domonoske flew through lap ten to make the catch, claiming the National Title.

1. Chloe Patrick (Carson, Calif.; Cynisca Cycling), Hayley Bates (Pasadena, Calif.; Champion Factory), Morgan James (Long Beach, Calif.; Velo Club La Grange), Colleen Gulick (Long Beach, Calif.; Team Skyline - Cadence)

2. Julianna Rutecki (West Chester, Pa.; Bike Works p/b Fred Beans Cycling Team), Amanda Gonzalez (Farmington, Mich.), Kat Kendall (Manhattan Beach, Calif.; Ironfly/iCademy Junior Development), Candice Votava (Philadelphia, Pa.; Philly Bike Expo)

3. Megan Mattson (San Diego, Calif.), MacKenzie Wells (Brooklyn, N.Y.; ERO Sports), Jordan Ellison (Sherman Oaks, Calif.), Catherine Hamilton (Torrance, Calif.)

Elite Men's Results:

1. Anders Johnson (Huntsville, Utah; Chaney Windows and Doors), Lance Abshire (Baton Rouge, La.; Chaney Windows and Doors), David Domonoske (Palo Alto, Calif.; Alto Velo), Spencer Seggebruch (Saint Louis, Mo.; Chaney Windows and Doors)

2. John Bowie (Bellingham, Wash.; Water Line Racing), Merrick Gallagher (Redmond, Wash.; Jerry Baker Juniors), Wyatt Paul (Seattle, Wash.; Water Line Racing), Max Haggard (San Diego, Calif.; Water Line Racing)

3. Alex Siegel (Seattle, Wash.; Water Line Racing), Elliott Davis (Long Beach, Calif.; Water Line Racing), Corey Jameson (San Diego, Calif.; Water Line Racing), William Denman (Pasadena, Calif.; CFC)

TEAM SPRINT

Five teams vied for a spot in the Women’s Team Sprint Final. In an exciting battle for the title, Hayes/Ainslie/Hankins outperformed the competition, securing the win with a time of 49.165. McKee/Fedewa/Schwab put up a strong fight but couldn’t out-ride Hayes’ team.

On the men’s side, Boone/Hartman/Walters secured gold in the Team Sprint Final with an impressive time of 44.894.

1. Emily Hayes (York, S.C.), Keely Ainslie (Long Beach, Calif.; ASCP Elite), Kayla Hankins (Scottsdale, Ariz.; American Sprint Cycling Program)

2. McKenna McKee (Vancouver, Wash.; Kirk Whiteman Coaching), Rita Fedewa (Fort Collins, Colo.), Missy Schwab (Barto, Pa.; ERO Sports)

3. Mary Wintz (Cincinnati, Ohio), Hayley Yoslov (Corte Madera, Calif.), Sylese Christian (Long Beach, Calif.)

Elite Men's Results:

1. Evan Boone (Sierra Vista, Ariz.; Performance Cycle Coaching), Joshua Hartman (Long Beach, Calif.; Brihop), Dalton Walters (Long Beach, Calif.)

2. Sterling Reneau (Long Beach, Calif.), Reid Myers (Rialto, Calif.), Zephin Mann (Rockhill, S.C.)
