
Team USA Kicks Off the 2025 UCI Paracycling Track World Championships
On the first day of the 2025 UCI Paracycling Track World Championships, Team USA hit the boards in Rio de Janeiro for a full day of racing, taking on the Time Trial and Team Sprint qualifying events in the morning, followed by the Elimination Race to close out the evening.
Ryan Jastrab (Apple Valley, Calif.) returned to the track with an impressive performance, clocking a 1:09.916 to qualify sixth in the MC4 Kilo. In the evening finals, he went all out for four fast laps, slightly improving his time to 1:09.650, to secure sixth overall.

Jenny Schuble (Franklin, Tenn.) took on the WC5 Kilo in her first event of the week. She set a fast pace and rode consistent to score eighth with a time of 1:19.958.

The team consisted of Hannah Chadwick (Arcata, Calif.) and her pilot Liz Stevenson (Rochester Hills, Mich.) on one bike, then Michael Stephens (Huntington, W.Va.) and pilot Joe Christiansen (Lyons, Colo.) on the other tandem. The pairs sprinted over three laps finishing sixth, just shy of the top four advancing to the finals.

Shawn Morelli (Meadville, Penn.) started on the blue band and delivered a strong ride in the WC4 Elimination Race, earning a fifth-place finish. She’ll take on the Scratch Race later in the weekend.
