Team USA Recap: Valente and Williams Score Five More Podium Spots at UCI Track Champions League

TRACK

UCI Track Champions League Round 2: Berlin, Germany

(November 19) – U.S. track riders captured three podium spots in round 2 of the 5-round UCI Track Champions League in Berlin. Jennifer Valente (Virginia Blue Ridge/TWENTY24) took 2nd in Scratch and Elimination, putting her 1st among the women in the Endurance category.

It was the second week in a row that Valente placed top-3 in both races. Lily Williams (Human Powered Health) placed 3rd in Elimination for the second week in a row and currently stands 3rdoverall in the Endurance category.

On the men’s side, Gavin Hoover (L39ion of Los Angeles) placed 8th in Scratch.

UCI Track Champions League Round 3: Paris, France

(November 19)Jennifer Valente (Virginia Blue Ridge/TWENTY24) placed 3rd in Scratch and 2ndin Elimination in Round 3 of the Track Champions League, held at Velodrome National de St-Quentin-En-Yvelines outside Paris. It was Valente’s third week in a row taking podium spots in both races. Teammate Lily Williams (Human Powered Health) took 7th in Scratch and 5th in Elimination. Valente and Williams currently stand 1st and 3rd overall after three rounds.

On the men’s side, Gavin Hoover (L39ion of Los Angeles) placed 5th in Scratch. He is sitting 10thin the overall standings with Grant Koontz (Star Track) in 16th.

The final two rounds take place in London.

UCI Cyclocross World Cup: Overijse, Belgium

(November 20)Clara Honsinger (EF Education-TIBCO-SVB) placed 7th in the Elite Women’s race on a super-muddy and technical course in Overijse, Belgium. It was Honsinger’s fourth top-10 placing in this season’s UCI CX World Cup series.

UCI North Carolina Grand Prix: Hendersonville, North Carolina

(November 19-20) – On the 10th stop of the USA Cycling Pro CX calendar, age group and elite cyclists gathered for two days of competition at Jackson Park in Hendersonville.

Day One:

Elite Men: Kerry Werner, Jr (Kona Adventure Team), Tyler Orschel, Tobin Ortenblad (Santa Cruz Bicycles)

Elite Women: Jolanda Neff (Trek Factory Racing), Caroline Mani (Alpha Bicycle/Groove Silverthorne), Lauren Zoerner (Alpha Bicycle/Groove Silverthorne)

Junior Men: Daniel English (Bear CX), Magnus White (Boulder Junior Cycling), Ben Stokes (Finkraft Junior Cycling)

Junior Women: Samantha Scott (CompEdge Racing), Kaya Musgrave (Bear CX), Finley Aspholm (Finkraft Junior Cycling)

Day Two:
