USA Cycling announced today the 12 athletes that have been nominated to the 2021 Pan American Continental Championships Team for Cross-Country Olympic (XCO) Mountain Biking. The event will take place in Salinas, Puerto Rico on March 24-28.
“It is safe to say that everyone is excited to return to racing in Puerto Rico,” said Jim Miller, USA Cycling’s Chief of Sport Performance. “With the entirety of our Olympic Long Team on the roster, this might be the best mountain bike team that USA Cycling has fielded at a Pan American Continental Championships.”
The last time USA Cycling raced the Pan American Continental Championships in 2019, seven riders were in the Top-5, with Kate Courtney (Kentfield, Calif.; SCOTT/ SRAM Racing), Christopher Blevins (Durango, Colo.; Trinity Racing), and Haley Batten (Park City, Utah; Trinity Racing) all winning their respective categories.
