USA Cycling Cross-Country Mountain Bike National Championship Heads to Bear Creek Mountain Resort for 2023 and 2024

By: Tara McCarthy  February 07, 2023

USA Cycling announces the dates and location for the 2023 Cross-Country Mountain Bike National Championships.

USA Cycling is excited to announce that the 2023 USA Cycling Cross-Country Mountain Bike National Championship will take place July 5-9 at Bear Creek Mountain Resort in Macungie, Pennsylvania.

Making a return to the east coast, Bear Creek Mountain Resort was home to the 2013 and 2014 Cross-Country Mountain Bike National Championships where many of the biggest names in cross-country racing, including Lea Davison, Todd Wells, Kate Courtney, and Christopher Blevins, claimed national titles.

After being at elevation for the last three years, riders will have the chance to challenge themselves with the rocks and roots of east coast trails at Bear Creek Mountain Resort for the 2023 and 2024 National Championships.

“Riders have asked us to look for a venue at sea level, and many have been hoping we’d bring the event back to the east coast. Returning to Bear Creek Mountain Resort allows us to build upon the success from our 2013 and 2014 partnership and gives us access to over a third of the population of the United States,” said Tara McCarthy, Director of National Events.

“We are thrilled to have USA Cycling Mountain Bike Nationals back at Bear Creek. Our beautiful resort, challenging course, and amazing cycling community make this partnership a perfect fit. We can’t wait to welcome all of the competitors back to Bear Creek,” said Gary Kline, Director of Marketing and Guest Experience at Bear Creek Resort.
