USA Cycling members have an exclusive opportunity to register early for the 2027 L’Étape du Tour de France, one of the world's premier amateur cycling events. On July 11, riders will tackle a challenging 154-kilometer route through the French Alps, featuring 4,850 meters of elevation gain and five major climbs.
Starting in Cluses, Haute-Savoie, and finishing in Les Saisies, Savoie, the course will take riders through some of the region's most iconic mountain passes and spectacular Alpine scenery.
The climbing begins early with the Col de la Colombière, a 15.9-kilometer ascent averaging 7%. From there, riders will cross the Aravis mountain range before continuing through the Arly Valley toward the Beaufortain region.
The final kilometers will put riders to the test. After tackling the Col du Pré, with its views overlooking Lac de Roselend, participants will face the demanding climb to Bisanne. Stretching 12.4 kilometers at an average gradient of 8.3%, it serves as the final major challenge before the finish in Les Saisies.
