In 2021, she finished up her U23 career with a top 10 at the World Championships and two top 5 performances at the final World Cups. Now in 2022, she is starting her first elite season with at top 15 at the first World Cup in Brazil. She is looking forward to the challenges and learning opportunities ahead in her elite career and is happy to be apart of team USA.

What are your pre-race rituals?

I like to write down process based goals I can focus on in the race AND pre race dessert the night before, Nutella and banana.

Growing up, how did youth sports impact who you are today?

My two primary sports when I was younger were XC running and XC cycling. The coaches I had in highschool for those sports were some of the first people who made me belive I could truly take the sport as far as I wanted and achieve something like an olympic dream. Without them I might have never perused sport at an elite level.

What is something you would tell your younger self if you could go back in time?

Slow down! Everything doesn’t have to happen all at once and focus on your own timeline because progression looks different for everyone. This is something I’m still telling myself haha!

Top 15 in my First Elite World Cup 2022 Still soaking this one in! I wasn’t sure what to expect for my first elite World Cup and it’s a great and relieving feeling when all of the hard work shows.
