Leave a lasting legacy that reflects your passion for cycling and start planning your legacy today with USA Cycling Foundation. Work with your financial advisor or estate planner to find a charitable plan that lets you provide for your loved ones and support our athletes and programs. The following are some of the easiest ways to create your legacy.

A GIFT FROM YOUR WILL OR TRUST

A gift from your will or trust is the most common way to ensure that your support of USA Cycling Foundation continues beyond your lifetime and benefits future generations. Three simple options for this type of bequest include:

  • Name USA Cycling Foundation to receive a specific amount or percentage of your estate.
  • Leave USA Cycling Foundation what’s left over after your loved ones are provided for with a residuary bequest.
  • Name USA Cycling Foundation a contingent beneficiary if your loved ones predecease you.

  • IRAs and retirement plans

  • Life Insurance policies

  • Donor Advised Funds (DAFs)

  • Annuity or bank account

IRA CHARITABLE ROLLOVER

Make a difference today and save on taxes with a gift from your IRA.

If you are 70½ years old and older you can give any amount (up to a maximum of $111,000) this year from your IRA directly to a qualified charity such as USA Cycling Foundation without having to pay income taxes on the money. This popular gift option is commonly called the “IRA charitable rollover”, but you may also see it referred to as a “qualified charitable distribution”, or QCD for short.

If you’re at least 59½ years old, you can take a distribution and then make a gift from your IRA without penalty. If you itemize your deductions, you can take a charitable deduction for the amount of your gift.
