Overcoming a field of 15, Carlson and a group of four would lap the field. At the end of the race Carlson would beat out Kevin Metcalfe (Pleasant Hill, Calif.; Peet’s Coffee Racing) for the gold.

Claiming the top step in the individual pursuits were Jordan Rapp (Thousand Oaks, Calif.) for the Men’s 35-39, Jason Meidhof (Los Angeles, Team Beyer Auto) for the Men’s 45-49, Gerald Agnew (Rancho Palos Verde, Calif.) for the Men’s 70-74, John Hollerman (Scottsdale, Ariz.) for Men’s 75-79, Jim Turner (Menlo Park, Calif.; Sunpower Racing), and Elizabeth Wood (Colorado Springs, Colo.; COS Racing).

Jennifer Wagner (Houston, Texas; Shama Cycling) would overcome Kristen Keyes (Cleveland, Ohio; Pista Elite) in the Women’s 35-39 Sprints to take home gold. This is her second national title of the event.

In the 500-meter time trial events, Don Carlberg (Woodinville, Wash.) would claim the Men’s 65-69 title, and Lisa Kiratsous (San Jose, Calif.; SJBC) would take the Women’s 40-44 gold.
