The 2026 USA Cycling Junior Track National Championships concluded on Sunday evening with forty national titles awarded over the four-day event at the Valley Preferred Cycling Center.
The opening day of the 2026 USA Cycling Junior Track National Championships kicked off at the Valley Preferred Cycling Center with national titles awarded in the Omnium, Sprint, and Individual Pursuit.
Rue Tomko (Bellevue, Wash.; Jerry Baker Juniors) controlled the Women’s 17-18 Omnium from the opening event, winning the Scratch, Tempo, and Elimination events to carry a perfect 120 points into the Points Race. Tomko sealed the overall national title with 159 points. Lily Nguyen (Bend, Ore.; Star Track) earned silver with 140 points, while Akira Edmonds (Bend, Ore.; Dave Jordan Juniors) claimed bronze with 107.
The Men’s 17-18 Omnium came down to the final event of the day. Matthew Crabbe (Bend, Ore.; Hot Tubes Development Cycling Team Inc.) held an eight-point lead after winning the Scratch Race and Elimination Race, but Kashus Adamski (Bentonville, Ark.; Hot Tubes Development Cycling Team Inc.) turned the standings around in the Points Race to claim the national title by a single point. Gregory Debenedetti (St. Louis, Mo.; Project SuperTraining p/b Vafels) rounded out the podium with 125 points.
The Women’s 15-16 Individual Pursuit saw Aine Chen (Del Mar, Calif.; Ironfly) claim the national title in 4:14.416. Stella Cafiso (Portland, Ore.; East Portland Youth Cycling) recorded the fastest final kilometer but was unable to erase Chen's early advantage, finishing 1.703 seconds back for silver. Evie Alvarado (Indianapolis, Ind.; Midwest Devo) earned bronze.
Arjuna Burgos (Los Angeles, Calif.; EF Education-Onto) delivered the fastest ride of the day in the Men’s 15-16 Individual Pursuit, averaging 50.466 km/h and stopping the clock in 3:34.005. After trailing at the opening kilometer, Burgos surged to the lead by the halfway mark and continued to build his advantage in the last kilometer. Keegan Fairbanks (Covington, Wash.; Jerry Baker Juniors) claimed silver, while Sean Davies (Los Altos, Calif.; San Jose Bicycle Club) secured bronze.
Alvarado won the Women’s 15-18 Sprint final, defeating Hannah Ford (El Cerrito, Calif.) in both rides to earn the national title. The bronze medal was awarded after a deciding third ride, where Sarah Lynch (Sammamish, Wash.; Jerry Baker Juniors) defeated Uhlana Woods (Ventura, Calif.; Ironfly).
Kai Afan (Macungie, Pa.; Edge Cycling) secured the Men’s 15-18 Sprint national title with a two-ride victory over teammate Maxwell Williams (Quakertown, Pa.; Edge Cycling). William Huang (Redmond, Wash.; Jerry Baker Juniors) earned bronze after winning both rides in the bronze medal final against Ian Choi (Flushing, N.Y.; Star Track).
It was a fast and full Friday with eight National Champions crowned in Time Trial, Scratch Race, and Points Race events.
The Junior Women 17-18 had their eyes on the prize as they took to the track for the 1000m Time Trial. Tegan Morgan (Sugar Land, Texas; Alkek GHCF Juniors p/b Kombasecamp.com) stormed to the national title in a time of 1:22.516. Hannah Ford (El Cerrito, Calif.) earned silver nearly two seconds down, while Wrenna Fuller (Bellevue, Wash.; Jerry Baker Juniors) claimed bronze.
The Men’s 17-18 event was a nailbiter as the title was decided by less than a second. Maxwell Williams (Quakertown, Pa.; Edge Cycling) claimed the national title in 1:08.383, edging Kashus Adamski (Bloomfield Hills, Mich.; Hot Tubes Development Cycling Team Inc.) by 0.475 seconds. Noah Shumskas (Pipersville, Pa.; Star Track) rounded out the podium another 0.085 seconds back.
Next, the Junior Women 15-16 took the line for the Time Trial. Evie Alvarado (Indianapolis, Ind.; Midwest Devo) added another national title to her week, winning in 1:17.852. Stella Cafiso (Portland, Ore.; East Portland Youth Cycling) finished second, while Sarah Lynch (Sammamish, Wash.; Jerry Baker Juniors) earned bronze.
Arjuna Burgos (Los Angeles, Calif.; EF Education-Onto) captured his second national title in as many days, winning the Men’s 15-16 with a time of 1:10.198. Lucien Bobe (Brooklyn, N.Y.; Star Track) earned silver, and Sean Davies (Los Altos, Calif.; San Jose Bicycle Club) took bronze.
In the Junior Women’s 17-18 Scratch Race, eight riders lined up to battle it out for 23 laps and their chance to claim the Stars and Stripes jersey. Rue Tomko (Bellevue, Wash.; Jerry Baker Juniors) rode to victory, finishing ahead of Emy Solis (San Diego, Calif.; Ellas) and Lily Nguyen (Brooklyn, N.Y.; Star Track).
Ten riders took the track for the 23-lap Men’s 17-18 Scratch Race. Matthew Crabbe (Buford, Ga.; Hot Tubes Development Cycling Team Inc.) won the national title. Adamski finished second, while Phillips Claud IV (Casa Grande, Ariz.; Phase1 Cycling) claimed bronze.
Tomko had a perfect ride in the Women’s 17-18 Points Race, winning every intermediate sprint before taking the final sprint to finish with 30 points. Nguyen earned silver, while Solis finished third.
Crabbe continued his commanding day by winning the Men’s 17-18 Points Race with 70 points after consistently scoring throughout the race and collecting 20 extra lap points. Adamski was on his wheel for most of the race, but would finish second with 57 points, while Claud IV earned bronze.
The schedule was packed for the penultimate day of competition on Saturday with twelve new National Champions crowned in Pursuit, Keirin, Elimination, and 11-16 Omnium events.

Gregory Debenedetti (Boulder, Colo.; Project SuperTraining p/b Vafels) secured bronze ahead of Noah Shumskas (Pipersville, Pa.; Star Track).
Phillips Claud IV (Casa Grande, Ariz.; Phase1 Cycling) won the Men’s 15-18 Keirin national title after edging out Kai Afan (Macungie, Pa.; Edge Cycling) by 0.028 seconds in the final. Maxwell Williams (Quakertown, Pa.; Edge Cycling) completed the podium in third.
In the Women’s 15-18, Evie Alvarado (Indianapolis, Ind.; Midwest Devo) sprinted to victory to claim gold. Akira Edmonds (Brooklyn, N.Y.; Dave Jordan Juniors) finished second, while Sarah Lynch (Sammamish, Wash.; Jerry Baker Juniors) earned bronze.

Medals were awarded throughout the week to the top three finishers in each individual event making up the Junior Track Omnium. A National Title was awarded to the overall Omnium champions at the conclusion of all Junior Track Omnium events.

The final day of the 2026 USA Cycling Junior Track National Championships concluded at the Valley Preferred Cycling Center with four national titles awarded in the Team Sprint and Team Pursuit.
The Women’s 15-18 Team Sprint started off the morning of racing, featuring five teams battling it out for the national title. JBJ No Thoughts-Just Watts – Rue Tomko, Wrenna Fuller, and Sarah Lynch – stopped the clock in 1:10.862 to earn the Stars and Stripes. Coast & Cornfield finished 0.595 seconds back to take silver, while T.H.C. claimed bronze.
In the Men’s 15-18 Team Sprint, No Watts, Just Thoughts – Rocco Alexander, William Huang, and Keegan Fairbanks – rode a winning time of 1:07.715 to secure the title by just 0.302 seconds over Edge Skunks, who would earn silver. Star Track 2 completed the podium.
In the Women’s 15-18 Team Pursuit, JBJ Glitter Watts – Rue Tomko, Wrenna Fuller, Charlotte Westover, and Sarah Lynch – covered the 4km distance in 5:21.313 to win gold. S.A.L.T. earned silver, and Folk Valley rounded out the podium.
The final Stars and Stripes jerseys of the morning were awarded in the Men’s 15-18 Team Pursuit. Big Kahunas – Matthew Crabbe, Mason Crabbe, Kashus Adamski, and Arjuna Burgos – completed their pursuit in a time of 4:29.733 to claim the national title. Phase1 Cycling took silver, while JBJ Glitter Pals finished third.
