Lily Edwards Leads Team USA with Top 10 in Junior Time Trial at the 2026 UCI Road World Championships

Team USA’s junior riders took on the streets of Montreal Tuesday at the 2026 UCI Road World Championships, with the Junior Women and Junior Men battling the clock in their individual time trials. With fast courses and tight racing across both categories, four Americans put together strong efforts as they took on the world’s best.

Junior Men

The junior men raced 20 kilometers through the streets of Montreal today, with 69 riders taking to the start. Kashus Adamski (Bloomfield, Mich.; Hot Tubes Cycling) and Enzo Hincapie (Greenville, S.C.; grenke – Auto Eder) both put together strong rides in a fast and tightly contested time trial.

Adamski was the first American rider into the start hut and got off to a strong start, sitting inside the top 10 at the second time check. He began to fade slightly over the final five kilometers but still put together a solid ride finishing with a time of 26:14.65. As Adamski crossed the finish line, Hincapie was just getting underway. Hincapie steadily picked up speed as the race progressed, despite not feeling his best on the day. He ultimately stopped the clock in 26:13.01, just one second faster than his teammate. The racing was incredibly tight, with the top seven riders all finishing on the same minute.

Junior Women

The junior women’s race covered just 10 kilometers. Lily Edwards (Washington, D.C.; CCB p/b Levine Law Group Cycling) was the first Team USA rider across the line. She came through the first-time check in 14th after dropping her chain but quickly recovered and made up time on the second half of the course to finish seventh. Fresh off three medals at the Junior Track World Championships, Emma Jimenez Palos (Miami, Fla.; City Bikes) made her Road World Championship debut. She felt strong through the first half of the race before feeling the effort on the return to the finish. She ultimately finished inside the top 20.
