New Membership Portal Updates: What Changed and What It Means for You

USA Cycling moved to a new membership platform in 2025. This guide breaks down the new membership flow and the updated language you will see.

USA Cycling has transitioned to a new member portal powered by Sport 80. With this update, you will notice a clearer membership structure, a few new names for familiar items, and some updated terminology across the site and the portal.

If you are wondering “What do I buy now?” or “Where did that option go?”, this guide is for you, or check out the following video discussing the changes.

Membership is the base, licenses are add ons

In the new portal, a base membership allows you to stay active and connected to USA Cycling when racing isn’t in the cards. From there, you can add the license that matches your role in the sport, from racing, officiating, event organizing, or teams and coaching.

Start with a base membership

A membership is required before purchasing any license add ons. Memberships start at $20 when auto-renew is selected.

Add what you need

Think of licenses as add ons that sit on top of your membership. For example, racers will add a race license so they can compete.

Membership and License

Domestic memberships and domestic add on products run on a rolling 365 day calendar. UCI race and support licenses run through December 31 of the year they were purchased.

To join or renew, the fastest path is to head to our members page.
