New USA Cycling Programs Strengthen Member Experience and Athlete Pathway

By: Membership  April 21, 2026

New and growing initiatives are designed to expand athlete support and add more value to USA Cycling members.

This year, USA Cycling has launched a new group of membership programs designed to strengthen the member experience and athlete pathway.

Bringing together both new initiatives and existing programs, these efforts represent USA Cycling’s continued investment in delivering stronger benefits for members across disciplines and at every stage of advancement. These programs are intended to give athletes more ways to engage with the sport beyond race entry alone, providing riders with access to race environment support, athlete development, expanded competition opportunities, and stronger connections to the cycling community.

“We want every rider to feel more supported, more prepared, and more connected to the sport,” said Eric Bennett, USA Cycling Director of Membership. “These programs give athletes more value from their membership by creating more opportunities to develop, compete, and stay engaged in cycling.”

The programs include:

  • Cross-Country Mountain Bike Skills Clinics: Race clinics designed to help new and experienced riders build skills essential to specific courses and improve race preparation leading up to the race weekend.
  • Downhill Mountain Bike Course Walks: Free, guided track walks at the Pro Downhill Series races to help new and experienced racers sharpen race strategy, analyze line choice, and improve safety.
  • Cyclocross Course Preview and Skills Clinics: Race clinics aimed at helping new and experienced riders better understand courses, practice key features, and navigate specific sections.
  • Collegiate All-Star Program: Opportunities for standout club and varsity student-athletes to race on a composite team at the Redlands Bicycle Classic while gaining exposure to elite level competition and continuing their development in the sport of cycling.
  • Paracycling National Calendars: Dedicated road and track calendars that bring greater structure and visibility to paracycling events in the United States. By expanding race opportunities and improving access to classification, these calendars help strengthen the pathway for paracycling athletes.
  • Masters World Championship Support: A program focused on providing masters athletes with additional support and resources when representing the United States at UCI Masters World Championship events. The initiative is intended to better support athletes competing on the world stage and enhance their overall experience as part of Team USA.

These programs are designed to support cyclists at every level of the sport, while adding value to their membership throughout the year. Each program plays a different role in creating a stronger and more complete experience for USA Cycling members.
