(November 14-17) – Collegiate cyclists representing 17 Varsity teams and 35 Club teams vied for MTB National Championship titles over four days of racing in Bentonville, Arkansas. Cal Poly Cycling (Club) and Colorado Mesa University (Varsity) earned the Omnium titles, with Colorado Mesa edging out Brevard by 10 points.
Individual Omnium titles went to Cole Punchard (Brevard College) and Kiara Lylyk (Brevard College) for Varsity men and women. Quentin Loxtercamp (Colorado State University) and Gwen Ramsey (Cal Poly Cycling) earned Omnium titles for Club men and women.
Day one saw Dual Slalom Champions crowned, with Gwen Ramsey (Cal Poly Cycling) and George Poggemeyer (Colorado State University) earning the Club women and men’s titles, and Breanna Winter (Marian University Cycling Team) and Jack Spranger (Colorado Mesa University Cycling Team) capturing the Varsity women’s and men’s titles.
Day two’s Cross-Country National Championship titles for Club women and men went to Emily Stapleton (Penn State Cycling Club) and Justin Peck (Cal Cycling); Kiara Lylyk (Brevard College) won the Varsity Women’s title and Owen Clark (Brevard College) won the Varsity Men’s crown.
Day three’s Short Track National Championship titles for Club women and men went to Daniela Bronk (Middlebury Cycling) and Quentin Loxtercamp (Colorado State); the Varsity titles were earned by Michaela Thompson (Fort Lewis College Cycling) and Owen Clark (Brevard College), his 2nd national title of the week.
Downhill National Championship titles for Club women and men went to Gwen Ramsey (Cal Poly Cycling), and George Poggemeyer (Colorado State University), who both also won the Dual Slalom club crowns on Day One. Breanna Winter (Marian University) won the Varsity women’s title to go along with her Dual Slalom championship win, while Matthew Leliveld (Brevard College) earned the Varsity men’s title.
The final day also featured Relays. Colorado State University (Hartmann, Leavitt, Loxtercamp) won the Club Relay title, while Brevard College (Clark, Gagne, Lylyk, Punchard) earned the Varsity Relay crown.
(November 16-17) – A full weekend of UCI C2 racing came to Nash Farm Park outside Atlanta at Nash Dash, stop number 10 of the USA Cycling Cyclocross National Series.
Kerry Werner (Groove Off Road Racing) took day one’s victory in the elite men’s race, followed by Scott Funston (Cervélo Orange Living) and Caleb Swartz (ENVE/Forward Endurance Coaching). Seventeen-year-old Lidia Cusack (CXD Trek Bikes) placed 2nd in the elite women’s race, followed by Anna Dorovskikh (Donovan Racing) in 3rd.
Porter Melvin (Team Stampede), Ethan Brown (Midwest Devo) and Kian Reid (Team Booger) went 1, 2, 3 for the junior men, with just one second dividing Brown and Reid. Nicole Clamann (Blue Ridge Cross) won the junior women’s race, followed by Hadley Molnar (Blue Ridge Cross) andCoco Leritz (Team Booger) in 2nd and 3rd.
Sunday’s racing saw Lidia Cusack winning the junior women’s race and two hours later, getting on the start line and eventually placing 2nd in the elite women’s race. Bridget Wilson (JAM/NCC) placed 2nd and Nicole Clamann was 3rd for junior women. Anna Dorovskikh captured bronze again in the elite women’s race.
Kerry Werner earned his 2nd win of the weekend, taking 1st in the elite men’s race. Scott Funston and Caleb Swartz repeated their podium spots from the day before, placing 2nd and 3rd.
In Sunday junior men’s race, Ethan Brown took 1st by two seconds over Porter Melvin, with Luke Ozment (Donovan Racing) placing 3rd.

(November 15-16) – Juniors, Masters and elite track cyclists competed for Stars and Stripes jerseys over a weekend of racing at the Lexus Velodrome in Detroit, with 20 titles awarded at this year’s USA Cycling Madison Track National Championships.
