Twenty National Titles Awarded at the 2025 USA Cycling Madison Track National Championships

This weekend, 59 athletes competed for the coveted Stars and Stripes jersey at the 2025 USA Cycling Madison Track National Championships, hosted by Mad Track Cycling.

Racing began Friday evening at the Mad Track Arena with non-championship events, followed by the first championship Madison race of the weekend, where the Masters Men 35+ and Masters Men 45+ categories competed together for 120 laps. The evening concluded with the Co-Ed Madison final, where competitors completed 80 laps.

In the Masters Men 35+ category, Team Purple, comprised of Kyle Perry (Indianapolis, Ind.) and Aaron Beebe (Indianapolis, Ind.), earned the win with 79 points, 44 points ahead of second place. In the Masters Men 45+ category, Kevin Phillips (Redondo Beach, Calif.) and Jason Meidhof (Denver, Colo.) of Team Orange captured the coveted Stars and Stripes jersey, earning a total of 11 points.

In the Co-Ed Madison final, Team Black’s Laurel Rathbun (Encinitas, Calif.) and Luke Fetzer (Laguna Niguel, Calif.) delivered a strong performance, earning the win with 19 points.

Masters Men 35+ Madison Results:

1. Team Purple – Kyle Perry (Indianapolis, Ind.) and Aaron Beebe (Indianapolis, Ind.)

2. Team Yellow – Martin Vecchio (Detroit, Mich.) and Jon Hughes (Detroit, Mich.)

3. Team Green – Craig Batory (Detroit, Mich.) and Blake Beddow (Ferndale, Mich.)

Masters Men 45+ Madison Results:

1. Team Orange – Kevin Phillips (Redondo Beach, Calif.) and Jason Meidhof (Denver, Colo.)

2. Team Black – Jeromy Cottell (Redwood City, Calif.) and SuperDave Koesel (San Juan Bautista, Calif.)

3. Team Silver – Nick Laughton (Rochester, Mich.) and Michael Hartrick (Auburn Hills, Mich.)

Co-Ed Madison Results:

1. Team Black – Laurel Rathbun (Encinitas, Calif.) and Luke Fetzer (Laguna Niguel, Calif.)

2. Team Red – Daniel Summerhill (Centennial, Colo.) and Arielle Coy (Indianapolis, Ind.)

3. Team Pink – Jackson Clary (Westfield, Ind.) and Stephanie Lawrence (Colorado Springs, Colo.)

In the first national championship race of the day, the Junior Men 14 & Under and Junior Women 14 & Under competed together. Team Yellow, consisting of Viv Carlow (Brooklyn, N.Y.) and Ari Ebens (New York, N.Y.), claimed first place with 20 points. Team Pink’s Evie Alvarado (Indianapolis, Ind.) and Sophia Avery (Sunol, Calif.) earned the Stars and Stripes jersey for the Junior Women 14 & Under category.

The second championship event of the evening featured a combined Madison race, bringing together the Elite Women, Masters Women 35+, and Junior Women 15-18 categories. Team Pink, comprised of Kimberly Zubris (Alburtis, Pa.) and Stephanie Lawrence (Colorado Springs, Colo.), claimed first place and the gold medal in the Elite Women category. Team Green, with Jillian Halm (Allentown, Pa.) and Akira Edmonds (Brooklyn, N.Y.) secured the Stars and Stripes in the Junior Women 15-18 category. Team Purple, featuring Nicole Schickel (Carmel, Ind.) and Denedra Woods (Ventura, Calif.), won the Masters Women 35+ national title. 

The Junior Men 15-18 took the track for the penultimate championship race of the evening, where Team Orange, Kashus Adamski (Bloomfield Hills, Mich.) and Jackson Clary (Westfield, Ind.), took control and earned the win with 28 points, 10 points ahead of second place.

The championship events concluded with the 180-lap Elite Men’s race, where Team Purple’s Perry and Beebe battled against six teams to claim victory, earning their second win of the weekend.

1. Team Green – Jillian Halm (Allentown, Pa.) and Akira Edmonds (Brooklyn, N.Y.)

2. Team White – Tegan Morgan (Sugar Land, Texas) and Uhllana Woods (Ventura, Calif.)

Junior Men 15-18 Madison Results:

1. Team Orange – Kashus Adamski (Bloomfield Hills, Mich.) and Jackson Clary (Westfield, Ind.)

2. Team Red – Neo Kai Afan (Macungie, Pa.) and Arjuna Burgos (Los Angeles, Calif.)

3. Team Blue – Merrick Gallagher (Redmond, Wash.) and Keegan Fairbanks (Covington, Wash.)

Masters Women 35+ Madison Results:

1. Team Purple – Nicole Schickel (Carmel, Ind.) and Denedra Woods (Ventura, Calif.)

Elite Women Madison Results:

1. Team Pink – Kimberly Zubris (Alburtis, Pa.) and Stephanie Lawrence (Colorado Springs, Colo.)

2. Team Blue – Laurel Rathbun (Encinitas, Calif.) and Sarah Demerly (Lathrup Village, Mich.)
