The Centers of Excellence Grant Program is designed to support cycling organizations that are actively fostering the next generation of American cyclists, from grassroots participation to elite-level preparation. Grants are awarded based on multiple criteria, including SafeSport and coaching compliance, performance at National Championships, and a demonstrated track record of placing athletes onto professional teams.

Recipients were evaluated on their commitment to the complete athlete development pathway, including Safe Sport compliance, access to qualified coaching, participation and performance at USA Cycling National Championships, and a demonstrated ability to prepare athletes for higher levels of competition.
The 2026 recipients will be awarded a total of $45,000, with six Gold-level and six Silver-level programs receiving grants of $5,000 and $2,500, respectively. Two additional organizations earned Bronze-level Centers of Excellence recognition. Gold- and Silver-level recipients also receive marketing support and access to USA Cycling resources.

Established to recognize and reward organizations dedicated to the development of junior and U23 cyclists, the COE Grant Program plays a vital role in USA Cycling’s long-term athlete development pipeline. Programs selected must meet strict eligibility criteria and demonstrate their impact on athlete growth, both competitively and personally.
