USA Cycling Announces 2026 Paracycling Track National Calendar

New calendar adds Paralympic program events, classification opportunities, and athlete development initiatives to support track paracycling in the United States.

USA Cycling has announced the 2026 Paracycling Track National Calendar. The calendar is designed to identify emerging talent, support national classification, and provide race opportunities for athletes pursuing the Paralympic pathway.

The 2026 calendar includes Paralympic program events at two regional development events and the USA Cycling Paracycling Track National Championships. Hosted at leading North American velodromes, the calendar is intended to raise the visibility of paracycling and provide a clearer pathway from local racing to national and international competition.

“By bringing paracycling to venues like the Valley Preferred Cycling Center and the Indy Cycloplex, we are creating more opportunities for technical preparation while also increasing visibility within the broader cycling community,” said Robert Mayfield, USA Cycling Track Cycling Programs Manager. “We want to make sure paracyclists have a clear path for development and competition.”

A key focus of the 2026 season is to reduce barriers to entry through three initiatives:

  • Ticket to Nationals: USA Cycling will continue its pilot program awarding free National Championship entry to winners of select domestic events leading up to the 2026 Masters, Paracycling, Junior, and Elite Track National Championships.
  • National Classification: The Paracycling Track National Championships will offer classification opportunities for new athletes in C1-C5 and B sport classes.
  • Track Certification: Introductory clinics will be offered at select events to support safety and skill development for newer riders.
