USA Cycling is excited to announce the second round of dates and locations for the upcoming 2023 season.
Continuing a long-standing partnership with the Augusta Sports Council, Masters and Para Road National Championships returns to Augusta, GA on August 23-27. Athletes will have the chance to test previous results on the tried and true courses of hilly Fort Gordon and downtown Augusta. “Augusta looks forward to hosting the Masters and Para Road Nationals for the second time in a decade this August. Together with Fort Gordon, we look forward to the opportunity to provide one-of-a-kind race venues and experiences to the participants, their family and friends while they are in our community,” said Michelle Naval Pippin, CEO of Augusta Sports Council.
Marathon Mountain Bike National Championship head to Chewacla State Park in Auburn, AL on September 23. Athletes will experience a diverse set of trails as the course is developed on over 30 miles of trails including sections of the 1988 NORBA Nationals course. “The Auburn-Opelika community is committed to growing the sport of mountain biking and cycling in general. Hundreds of volunteer hours and hundreds of thousands of dollars have been invested over the last decade into building trails and cultivating resources for those who enjoy cycling. The opportunity to bring the USA Cycling Marathon Mountain Bike National Championships to the area is tremendous, and we are thrilled to be able to introduce the spirit of Auburn-Opelika to the participants and their families,” said Robyn Bridges, President & CEO, Auburn-Opelika Tourism.

As previously released, Mountain Bike Nationals will be two separate events this year. Endurance Mountain Bike Nationals is in final negotiations and will be held July 5-9 or July 12-16. The location and final date will be released in the next two weeks. Gravity Mountain Bike Nationals will be slated for July 12-16 or July 19-23 and will be announced when finalized.
The date and location for the inaugural Gravel National Championship will be released soon and is slated for a fall date.
