USA Cycling Board Appoints Laura Reppert and Souheil Badran as New Directors
USA Cycling is proud to announce the appointment of two at-large representatives to its Board of Directors, Laura Reppertand Souheil Badran. Both bring extensive professional experience and a deep passion for cycling to their new roles, serving a two-year term.
With the terms of two previous at-large members concluding, Reppert and Badran will help complete the USA Cycling Board of Directors. The board is composed of four At-Large Directors, four Athlete Directors, and three representatives from the USA Cycling Foundation.
“We’re fortunate to have two such incredible people joining our Board,” said USA Cycling President and CEO Brendan Quirk.“Laura’s deep experience as an event organizer will bring vital perspective to our work. And Souheil’s capability in mapping strategy to operational capability will be a difference-maker as we try to maximize the impact of USA Cycling through the LA28 Olympics & Paralympics and beyond.”
Reppert embodies the heart of USA Cycling’s race director community. She serves as President of the National Association of Professional Race Directors, an organization dedicated to strengthening bicycle racing across the country. Her experience spans every side of the sport from event organizer to community partner. In 2019, she became owner and director of the Bucks County Classic in Doylestown, Pennsylvania. She has also played roles in numerous major events, including the USA Cycling Cyclocross National Championships, Armed Forces Cycling Classic, Reading120, Sunny King Classic, and Tour of Somerville.
Badran brings more than three decades of leadership experience across global technology and financial services. He has retired from a distinguished career that includes serving as Chief Operations Officer at U.S. Bancorp, along with senior leadership roles at Alipay, Northwestern Mutual, and VeriSign. As he transitions into board and advisory work across technology, financial services, healthcare, and nonprofit sectors, Badran is eager to contribute to USA Cycling. An avid cyclist who rides for both fitness and adventure, he combines his professional expertise with a genuine love for the sport.
