Hayley grew up in Marin County, California, the birthplace of modern mountain biking. Surrounded by a strong cycling culture and appreciation for the outdoors, she discovered competitive cycling through NorCal NICA during her sophomore year of high school, when many other extracurricular activities were paused during the pandemic.
In 2023, during her senior year of high school, Hayley stumbled upon the Search for Speed talent identification tent at Sea Otter Classic, beginning a nine-month journey of testing and development camps. She relocated to Los Angeles to pursue a degree in Human Biology & Society at UCLA and was selected for USA Cycling’s Track Sprint Development Program in January 2024.
Hayley quickly took to track sprinting, integrating into the elite squad within her first year in the program. During her debut international season in 2025, she was a member of the gold medal-winning Team Sprint squad at the Pan American Championships, earned silver in the 1,000-meter Time Trial, and represented Team USA at the UCI Track Cycling World Championships.
Now entering her fourth year at UCLA, Hayley continues to develop on the international stage as she pursues the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games. In 2026, she earned three bronze medals at the Pan American Championships and represented the United States at the UCI Track World Cups.
