Jason Macom

Macom started racing bikes in BMX then transitioned to road and track cycling in 2004. In 2015, he lost his right leg below the knee from complications of a broken ankle sustained in a bicycle accident. Jason's amputation didn't stop him from pursuing his childhood Olympic dream. 

Winning the Omnium at the 2019 World Championships and 2 Silver medals at the 2020 Worlds was just the start. During the Paris block, he received a new state-of-the-art prosthetic implant called Osseointegration. Macom came back strong thereafter, winning 3 National Championship titles and earning 4th place in the Scratch and Elimination races at the 2025 Paracycling Track World Championships. He's now training as a resident athlete at the Colorado Springs Olympic and Paralympic Training Center, and also works for USA Cycling doing operations management for the National Championship event department. He continues to work in adaptive and aerodynamic equipment development supporting his fellow Olympic and Paralympic athletes.
