Thanks for learning about license renewal! Your Safesport and Background Check must be current. If they are not, you will not be able to renew your coaching license online.

Keep in mind that your Background Check and Safesport Certification expiration date could be coming up, and (for all licenses, regardless of term) any Background Check that expires during the term of the coaching license means the coach will have 30 days to renew it. Any coach who does not make his/her Background Check/ Safesport Certification current during the 30 day period will have their coaching license suspended until it is current.

1. Check your account to confirm the status of your Background Check and Safesport Certification. Do this by logging into your USA Cycling Account here. Once in your account, click on “Membership” and scroll down to see the status of your Background Check and Safesport Certification under “Member Status”.
2. If your Safesport and your Background Check is current, then please proceed to renew your license online by visiting the “Licenses” tab, Scroll down to “my Licenses” and find your coach license. Begin the renewal transaction by selecting “renew”
3. If your Background Check has expired, you will need to bring this current to renew your coaching license. You can do this by following the Background Check Procedure.
4. If your SafeSport Training Certification has expired, you will need to bring this current to renew your coaching license. You can do this by following the SafeSport Training Certification.

Everyone pays the annual coaching license fee of $115.
