Day three of racing at the 2025 UCI Paracycling Track World Championships marked standout performances for Team USA, highlighted by a bronze medal in the Men’s Tandem Individual Pursuit and a top-five finish in the Men’s C4 Scratch Race.

Men’s Individual Pursuit

Branden Walton (Livermore, Calif.) and Ian Anderson (Fort Collins, Colo.) teamed up for the first time at an international event, taking on the MB (Tandem) Individual Pursuit. The pair delivered a powerful ride in qualifying, clocking 4:13.761 to place third and earn a spot in the bronze medal final against Poland.

In the evening round, Walton and Anderson came out strong, maintaining control from the start and making the catch halfway through the race to secure the win and the bronze medal.

Men’s Scratch Race

Jason Macom (Colorado Springs, Colo.) lined up for a 40-lap, 10k effort among a field of 21 starters in the Men’s C4 Scratch Race. From the start, he positioned himself well near the front, reading the race smartly and responding to the right moves to stay in contention. With 12 laps to go, a massive crash brought the race to a halt, but Macom avoided the chaos. Once racing resumed, the remaining riders went full gas from the restart. Macom held his position near the leaders and, when the bell rang for the final lap, he was just a few bike lengths off the front group of four. Digging deep in the closing meters, he powered to the line to finish fourth after a well-executed race.
